FYI

Hell with this. Fire Cantor and the BOT and keep JB.There goes the season for nothing. And yes,JB'S remarks were nothing.

Someone just called francesa - and said his dad is on BOT - that boeheim will be fired by friday not because of what he said but because he said anything-- he was warned when story broke not to comment -- and now **** hit fan

I have no idea if this is true probably not but figured its as good as anything we have

The silence from insiders today is deafening imo -- doesnt look good

Someone, anyone, no one...if indeed that happens, then shame on SU. Why not place him on triple secret probation first? :) All kidding aside, if this happened, then Cantor or Gross should have came out immediately afterwards publically reprimanding him and advising the public that the university does not share this employee's insubordinate opinion.

Doesn't pass the sniff test, IMO.

Why wait? If the intention is to fire him, and the decision has been made to fire him, there is no reason for the University not to have pulled the trigger last night--let alone to wait until Friday. Rip the bandaid off all at once.

We have a game tomorrow. I can't imagine this would be held in limbo until Friday. Not saying that JB won't ultimately be terminated, but I don't buy this explanation.
Right...would have happened last night methinks if based on his comments...

You really can't fire the BOT. And regardless, the Chancellor and yhe BOT have to consider the well being of the entire university, not just the basketball team.

With George Hicker on the BOT and coming out and saying he doesn't believe these allegations and says he basically supports Fine last night, I find this story hard to believe.

Might better drop all sports down to division 3 then. Cause without hoops, the university isn't making any money.

How does one join the BOT?
The list is a lot longer than i thought - apparently they hand out spots like the BE hands out conference invites.

I believe its something you get asked to do - so donate a lot or be an extremely well respected grad

But look at the number of people on the BOT. Even if we assume McNabb is on JB's side, that's still only two people on that entire list. I assume BOT decisions are majority votes, no? Or maybe 2/3 votes?

Doesn't wash.
If he's fired, it'd have to be today AND because more info came in- ie; Laurie Fine & sex w/ players.
Why not fire him yesterday along w/ Fine? Why wait otherwise?
Theres also a game tomorrow- do you fire him PRIOR to the game...a few hours before?

Actually the sheer number scares me a little. It's like Congress. How does that many people make any decision let alone something of this magnitude.

Christ, Robert Congel?

That can't be a point of pride for the University, even if he is a huge donor (and I don't know that that's the case).

The bottom part of the list are Emeritus trustees. They don't mean squat. (haha, someone may ban me for that. I kid I kid)

What scares me is how many of these trustees don't give a rat's ass about sports? And would vote fire JB just to make a point "academic first..."
