Must be Anae wants size and speed for special passing situations. Oronde’s got good size for a wideout but he’s not putting any blocks on LB’s or big safeties imo.INTERESTING to see Gadsen as a TE -- assume that's just a title, and that it is just a way to get a bigger WR on the field to create mismatches?
Simmons moved from FS to BS. Guessing that means they liked what they saw from Clark and Oliver once Jason got banged up and gave those two a chance to play there.
Will probably use him in flex situations. In the slot against LB’s and nickel corners.Must be Anae wants size and speed for special passing situations. Oronde’s got good size for a wideout but he’s not putting any blocks on LB’s or big safeties imo.
I know that he made a good impression this summer though.
Your are right on with Rover. Have to be able to tackle. Size doesn’t automatically make you a better tackler. It’s a skill and some guys like Hanna have a knack for making plays despite size.Oliver got a long look at Rover. Rover needs a special player who is strong against the run and can still do some coverage too. Thinking the staff moved him to FS because of his pass coverage skills (or maybe he struggled against the run)?
Still weird to me that Hanna remains at Rover and gets an or. He is awful thin to be playing that position. Guessing he makes a lot of good decisions.

Yeah I know Hanna has injury history. My comment is speaking in general terms about size and play making. I wasn’t advocating for him to start. Just saying size don’t make you better. I also see big guys get hurt all the time.Yeah, Hanna is a heat-seeking missle, but because he's small he also tends to get injured from laying the wood.
Here's hoping he stays healthy, and that the larger guys can also chip in and save him from all that wear and tear.
I’m more concerned about the edges. DT has the most experience with Lockett and Darton. Besides Caleb we have a bunch of freshmans that haven’t taken any meaningful snaps.Main concern remains DT
Think we are good on the edge, the Middle is where I have concern about depth.
He's not moving back to QB with Shrader, Wilson, Lamson and eventually Sellers ahead of him.Babers on Dan Villari’s transition to WR: “We’re going to slowly develop him. He’s such a fantastic athlete and by him switching over, it was completely unselfish.” Said it’s possible Villari moves back to QB, but believes the switch was best for the team.
If you watch his HS video, his pure athleticism past the line of scrimmage always made it a no-brainer to transition him into a receiving role if he was open to it. So I'm happy to see that happening because I think it's his best opportunity to be successful here and in the future.Babers on Dan Villari’s transition to WR: “We’re going to slowly develop him. All good pointsSome of the surprises are probably injuries.
Jaquez getting the call at DE
McDonald at LB is where I thought he would be. Roon ahead of Sparrow is a bit of a surprise.
All three db transfers on the two deep. No Coley is interesting.
OL - that is the group and positions I’ve advocated since the end of last year, not surprised. 2nd string - no Tisdale.
WR, TE, FB. - they are going to be multiple. That’s your core group. With two subs they can go from super heavy to four wide and anywhere in between.
Hayes, Queeley, Adams could be injury, could be game plan, could be buried. Future will tell.
TB - good for Allen. Price will get snaps to
I'm with you on that. I think Vet's our best center, and I don't think we have any reason to believe otherwise. If the most experienced center is the best we have than why worry?
