Maybe more realistic - Mark Schmidt? The way he got let go makes me think he’s not ready to be done coaching. Would be nice to give Gerry a veteran presence to help him learn.

Just a guess on my part, but maybe a chance Gerry gives Greg Paulus an assistant gig on next year's staff? Would be very similar to what Autry did with Engelstad. Seems like Paulus has hit a wall at Niagara and this would be a logical pivot move for him. I know the two are close friends, and obviously there's a lot of Syracuse connections for Paulus already.
