Gerry Staff Predictions…

No need to give up, but need to have realistic expectations. So you agree that a realignment c ould be beneficial. Therefore, you agree that the current alignment is less beneficial.

The ACC is a cash cow for non-revenue sports but there is a price to be paid.
Just focusing on the here and now, Rivalries in the Big East were built very quickly because we were good. Let's do it again

We should know soon. My understanding is Gmac has his staff lined up already.
I wouldn’t be surprised if after that tweet came out that he was leaving and coming here that vcu jacked up his salary. Tweet removed.

He’s not running and jumping on it.

He can get around on crutches/knee scooter immediately after surgery. He can put weight on it 4-6 weeks post op (walking boot).

I’m not sure what activities the coaches would have to cover.
Everything about life is more difficult after that kind of surgery. If coaching is a 16 hour a day job, the extra time and energy it take to do basic things like shower, dress, and go to the bathroom cut into the thin margins a coach already has. I'm not saying he'll be incapacitated, but he won't be able to do as much, so his assistants will have to pick up the slack for a few months. Fortunately, when they say 6 month recovery, it's not like a light switch. He'll be able to do quite a bit more after 2-3 months post op. Shifting from non-weight bearing to wt bearing immediately makes life a lot easier. Of course, a not insignificant amount of his time will also be devoted to physical therapy.
