I love JG3 and think he will be an all time great here at Cuse. He’s going to hit a lot of big shots and win a bunch of games for us. However, he needs to hit better than 32% from three. Tough adjustment going from a volume shooter with free reign to the 3rd or 4th option and playing point. He’s had a lot of open threes that he needs to bury. he needs to be closer to a 38-40% clip for us to be a good team.

Last season it took buddy quite awhile to adjust. Joe has great form, the shots will start to fall for him soon, providing he can continue to get good looks since we are now at the part of the schedule where the defenses will be much better and more athletic.

Hard to score 50 per game at any level as an inefficient scorer. High school stats are hard to come by, but he was probably close to a 40% shooter from deep. In AAU ball, he shot north of 35% from deep.

he was second in the EYBL two years ago behind his teammate Buddy Boeheim at like 47 percent.

He is taking hem from to far out right now. Take another step and a half toward the basket. He is usually open and has the time. It would go a long ways to helping him.

Good one. Part of that was he was able to be very selective on a loaded and veteran team. His %’s dropped throughout his career as he had to be relied on a lot more.

Malachi was also practically 0 for the month of December. So perhaps we should let it happen, with Girard.

Deshaun and Triche are classic examples of guys with decent strokes on loaded teams, getting good looks as the 5th option. Both their %’s fell off a cliff over the next few years in bigger roles.
