Really love the time slot. As was mentioned before, most people will not be out on the town yet and if they are, this will be the main event on in the bars. The bowl has had great ratings the last couple years and should put up respectable numbers again this season.

Friday night is the out on the town night for the younger crowd, but they normally don't start going out until 9-10 at night. With that being said they will be able to watch the game and then go celebrate the victory.

It's a great time slot for the "SU FAN" and the "MINNESOTA FAN"...but it won't get the casual football fan or a national audience flipping through the channels to stop and watch. Because its a Friday night at an awful time. Most people on a Friday night (especially after a holiday) are out and about on the town. Or since 2 days after Christmas traveling back home. Not watching TV in general.

Not complaining about it. It is what it is and happy SU got a bowl. But just stating a fact

What. 6-6 versus a 8-4 Big 10 team in a great facility, on Dec 27th only game on at 6 eastern. Right after work and many people will already be home. Those two days will be the most non productive of the entire year

Thought the same thing. I'm 29, and the thought of going out and partying on a Friday never even occured to me.
