Oh boy, has it started? Has the local media started being critical?
You all bag on Gottlieb all the time, but he's literally the only talking head who actually follows college basketball. Of course he has this right. It says a lot that our fans are willing to side with Gottlieb on anything. It says something about where the program is right now but it also says a lot about us.
I love me some Gottlieb hate as much as the next guy, but when he's right he's right. You all bag on Gottlieb all the time, but he's literally the only talking head who actually follows college basketball. Of course he has this right.
Post of the season? Maybe.
I think Julie likes the life, not sure she will be the one talking him into leaving.Honestly, the whole world other than Boeheim himself and about 10 guys on this board can see that he needs to retire. We all hope JB does the honorable thing and steps down. Retire with dignity.
I hope Julie talks some sense into him after the season is over. I’m sure it’s a touchy topic to address during the season. I think there’s a strong chance he retires after the season is over if Buddy isn’t coming back. If Buddy decides to come back then JB will return and we will just draw out the inevitable for another year.
I think it says a lot more about the people who don’t agree with Doug in this case.It says a lot that our fans are willing to side with Gottlieb on anything. It says something about where the program is right now but it also says a lot about us.
If your opinion was the same as Gottlieb prior to him expressing it, would you change yours?Yeah but it would be like agreeing with OJ Simpson if he spoke the truth for once.
I’m not agreeing with Gottlieb on anything.
So you’re biased then.Yeah but it would be like agreeing with OJ Simpson if he spoke the truth for once.
I’m not agreeing with Gottlieb on anything.

I think their kids being out of school may alter her thinking.I think Julie likes the life, not sure she will be the one talking him into leaving.
Kind of shallow analysis IMO. We have been recruited against for years. No one didn’t come here because of Jimmy. That’s absurd he was a transfer
I’m just kidding of course.I’m just not ever going to let Gottlieb know I agree with him.If your opinion was the same as Gottlieb prior to him expressing it, would you change yours?
He didn't say anything that wasn't expressed on here before. I'm not changing my opinion just because a known dope happens to get something right.
Kind of shallow analysis IMO. We have been recruited against for years. No one didn’t come here because of Jimmy. That’s absurd he was a transfer
Also the only guard that came in was Symir. Friend from aau ball.I took it as people don’t want to play on a team with two coach’s sons. And it is fairly noteworthy that Jimmy coming in was the worst kept secret and literally every forward in the program with remaining eligibility decided to leave.
This after literally every scholarship guard, (besides Buddy’s friend Girard) that’s been here since since Buddy arrived has transferred out.
At some point it’s not a coincidence. And that’s not even touching on many of the legitimate observations made by outsiders looking in.
Explain why we have no depth at guard please.Kind of shallow analysis IMO. We have been recruited against for years. No one didn’t come here because of Jimmy. That’s absurd he was a transfer
It’s not Buddy’s fault. The HC manages the roster and recruiting. Also the only guard that came in was Symir. Friend from aau ball.
it’s not a coincidence, should add as well, it’s not Buddy’s fault.
it just is what it is and... Gottlieb confirmed what some of us thought outsiders looking in we’re thinking...Jimmy coming on board and the starting PG debacle simply has hurt this perception of this program to recruits whether folks here like it or not and whether it’s fair or not.
Dont forget Girard and Goodine, but JG3 was supposed to be a SG but had to play PG because Carey was a bust and then Goodine wanted more minutes but hes going up against what Gottlieb called Daddy Boy ball and left. So the 2 they brought in were either gone or changed positions and then they never bothered to backfill those spots, terrible.we haven’t got a backup shooting guard in 3 years now.
Unless you think that’s by choice, which is worse
If Joe wasn’t thrust into the PG spot do you believe he would have cut into Buddy’s minutes.Dont forget Girard and Goodine, but JG3 was supposed to be a SG but had to play PG because Carey was a bust and then Goodine wanted more minutes but hes going up against what Gottlieb called Daddy Boy ball and left. Then Allan Griffin came and he rarely ever played at SG
Since Battle and Frank Howard left and Buddy became a starter, any guards from outside of the Albany CityRocks program are gone. Thats not a good look.
Alsacs im on the same side as you on this and thats a good hypothetical ?If Joe wasn’t thrust into the PG spot do you believe he would have cut into Buddy’s minutes.
If so why when we had KR didn’t Joe get some of Buddy’s minutes and Buddy didn’t play 36 MPG last year?
Please explain that
I know you are. I was just proving that Gottlieb’s point wasn’t abput Jimmy.Alsacs im on the same side as you on this and thats a good hypothetical ?
And you are right on the 2nd question, I cant explain it. JB has botched this.
Well maybe JBs plan all along was to play JG3 at PG, I didnt think that would have been the plan but maybe he has misevaluated worse than I thought.
The “recruit against us” philosophy existed long before Buddy got here. JBs rotations have gotten killed in recruiting circles for years. Long before Buddy. And they have a backup 2 guard…we are missing a PG…well he plays at Seton Hall…we haven’t got a backup shooting guard in 3 years now.
Unless you think that’s by choice, which is worse
