We got this call, but at the time, I was struck by how a certain ref we've all come to love to hate, was looking right at the play for a long time, with whistle in mouth, and absolutely was not going to blow it.
They'd been allowing hand-checking all game w/out a foul, they probably wanted to make sure the contact was more involved than that b4 blowing the whistle.
I was trying to not be obvious about it, but..
The ref behind the play blew the whistle, late, and after the Duke player had already grabbed Cooney a couple times. The ref in the forescreen was watching the play the whole way, and in an as-good position to make the call, and didn't make it. It was the same ref as whom made the bad call on Fair.
