Right. Mike Leach is The High Priest of air raid and it took him 4 years and he was already a successful major college head coach. So people need to lower the expectations put on the new coach , give him 5 years because it will not be easy.

BS. It's not a give in they will lose. This team brings back some talent. They can win next year with the right coach. It happens all over the country. If there is talent, and coaching, you win. Simple as that.

As for Leach. He didn't have back to back 3 win seasons, with little hope in sight (plus since everyone is so quick to point out injuries, their star QB got knocked out last year). Plus Leach has a proven history of success as a HC. Totally different from an unproven HCSS, who has never proven he can win at this level. Totally different situations.

Either way it's time to move on.

Spot on. This was a 5-6 win team that won 3. The right coach could turn things around in year one, if the principal players return.

They were in post Gerg comdtion not coming off of 25-25.

That's why he got more time. Plus one side of the ball was improved immediately. Shafer was worse on both offense and defense in year three vs year one
