Thanks, Alsacs.
Don't confuse coaching with talent. Adazzio is very good at teaching fundamentals. Some call it meathead, others call it learning how to play fundamentally sound football at a high level. That's the NFL's opinion.
Notice Marrone's bump? Shafer wasn't good. I'm confident Adazzio could have made something out of Shafers teams.. Talent is wasted without a good teacher. I believe what you are accurately pointing out, is a manifestation of that - not the incoming talent.
Going forward... Dino could struggle with draft picks, even if we routinely bowl. Receivers can put up big #'s, but they'll have to run great routes, and routinely outplay defenders that AREN'T lost in the tempo. That'll hold true for all offensive positions. It'll be viewed as trying to gain an advantage, by catching you off guard. Because that's what it is. You have to be able to beat them when they are fully prepared.
On the line, the spread has 2 Tackles without their hand in the dirt. This is a big NFL no, no. Meathead wins again. NFL considers, even top 3 rounds, projects, if they played like this, in college. Pro set, you put your hand in the dirt, and you beat someone. Again. The line will have to prove they can win in a slower tempo team, against a fully prepared defender, with their hand in the dirt, to succeed at the next level. Should be fun in college, though.
