Hodg GameDay: USF v. Charlotte, AAC Conference Semi 3pm

When it was close and Charlotte made a run, I didn’t think it was the pace as much as the defensive pressure that USF displayed coming out of a time out. It’s like Hodgson bitchrd them out about the defensive execution.

Then they hit the 3 by Pinion and it was off to the races..

I think it is all combined. They play hard on defense, and they play fast. When players get tired, they start making lazy passes, and then USF is still playing hard comes up with steals. Then it just becomes all overwhelming. This happens in spurts; they will go on big runs like this. Then we saw earlier they will miss a couple of shots, throw up a bad shot and it looks like USF is out of sort then BH will call a timeout or yell at them and it clicks again. That is the pattern I have seen this year while watching them.

It is very similar to Alabama at the P4 level. Everything clicks for a two-minute spurt and the game is over

Can you imagine this style of play with the type of players hodgson would be able to recruit here?

Anyone who watches this team play and still pines for GMAC needs their eyes examined.

This system is exponentially better on both sides of the ball.

The argument for GMAC vs. Hodg isn't rational or pragmatic, and never has been.

On the merits, it's not even an argument.

It's a feel-good story people living in the past tell themselves to feel warm fuzzies.

I love Gerry

What he’s done at Siena is awesome

I have watched a few Siena games this year as well as a few USF games this year

If Gerry was Scottie Reynolds, absolutely 0 Syracuse fans would want him here lol most of the pull for Gerry is his success (rightfully so) and his legendary status here (the wrong reason to hire anyone)
