This system is exponentially better on both sides of the ball.

Thing is as well is that you can win with this style with a combination of star players and role players because it’s an effective system when it’s well executed. Obviously need top 8 level ACC NIL still for sustainable success but this is not just a bunch of stars.

Which is why as I've posted numerous times. I think hodgson would be able to recruit an effective roster without having to spend $10, 12, or $14 million.

He has stated repeatedly in the last couple of days that he emphasizes system fits who are hard workers over chasing recruiting rankings alone. Which bodes well for a team like us, that is going to be middle of the pack in terms of NIL. This is exhibit a for how you neutralize what could be a disadvantage with the wrong coach, as we just saw over the past 3 years.

And let's face it, this offensive system is night and day, Head and shoulders, exponentially better than the slop we've been subjected to for the last couple of years. Who wouldn't want to see this style of play in the dome?

I picked up on him stating that they had a coach for offense and a coach for defense. I'm not very up to date with other programs, but that seem like more modern coaching than what we've been doing.

Yep. It’s also why when you look at Gerry, and I think he’s going to develop into a coach who can get to where he has a true system and system fits, just isn’t quite there yet when you compare them although I do expect him to keep improving and get there.

We need a guy who can come in, bringing a big time portal guy plus a few system familiar guys and then build a team ( using any guys he can re recruit he sees as a fit as well) and get results right out of the gate. It’s a big ask but it’s just where we are because of how far things have fallen. I don’t want that on Gerry’s shoulders yet. I’d much rather he get that shot should BH had someone come with an absurd bag because he kills it here and then Gerry is fully ready we keep it rolling from there.
