Honestly as long as we win 2 of @Pitt, @Duke, @Maryland, @Virginia, @Florida State

... to start the game with already 2 fouls on them in pre-game warmups.

You're right about that Harris and Mitchell picked up theirs by getting off the bus.

To be a lock for Buffalo/NY I think we need:

Win the rest of our home games
3-2 on the road
1 ACCT win

I think we'll need 3 more road wins to feel comfortable only because we really haven't beaten anyone good on the road yet. Go 2-3 on the road and we may still get there, but to remove all doubt we need at least one of @Duke/@UVa/@Pitt.

I agree 3 losses is the lock number.

I think 4 losses is higher probability than you assert. I think its around 75%.

But I also expect this team to not lose 4 games.

Four losses in conference, even 3, and we're not winning the ACC regular season title. Virginia has an easier schedule than us the rest of the way and has us at home.

yea the only way we are in trouble with 4 losses is if everyone right below us doesn't lose anymore

The assumption is if Duke is either in the top 3 of the ACC or a top 4 seed. (There is confusion about this.) The most strict interpretation is that the top 3 teams in a conf can't be in the same region, assuming all 3 are top 4 seeds.
yes this is what I was getting at, if Duke gets a 2 or 3 seed I assume they are top 3 in ACC

I would put Pitt ahead of Virginia but otherwise I'd probably agree with that order. I'm more confident in beating Virginia than I am in beating Pitt.

Virginia is very very good. They will be tough to beat at JPJ. We should win, but then again, I have no reason to see why we don't win out.

We've shown how hard we are to beat all season. I also dont buy the whole, "we haven't beaten anyone" argument either. Let's just take care of Clemson and then let the kids show us what they're made of!

I'm making my reservations for NYC...

Oh I know they are a good team, but I just feel like beating Pitt, at Pitt, given how well Jamie Dixon does against us historically just seems like it's going to be tougher than beating a totally unfamiliar Virginia team. Especially since we've already played and struggled to beat Pitt at home.

I think the majority of the remainder of our games are going to be tough wins. But this team seems to thrive on that pressure.

But to the Committee, winning at JPJ will mean more than winning at PEC. Winning both will be awesome, but the UVA game matters more for our seeding.

A few weeks ago I would have said I thought it would be tougher to win at Pitt, but I think I'm slowly coming around on that one. I expect both games to be very tough though

i think our 3 toughest games in order are

duke
virginia
pitt

2 weeks ago it would have been
pitt
duke
virginia
