fwiw, louisville has lost 9 straight to uva, scoring over 65 only twice in that stretch (66, 68) while scoring in the 50s 4x and in the 40s 2x

UofL did have to vacate their NC which was unprecedented. It’s not like they got away with everything by any means and another shoe could drop. Otherwise Mack is a great couch and players gravitate toward him and his couches, etc as RF stated.

Chris Mack is not leaving UofL for SU. That is a very good job. One could argue he would be taking a step down to come here.

Plus, the school has been 100% committed to winning no matter what.

How many schools would have rehired Bobby Petrino? None in the ACC.
Recruit with hookers, strippers, and bags of money? No problem.
Admit recruits that could not get into other ACC schools? Sure.
Develop one of the best basketball arenas with state funds, but basically drive it into bankruptcy with a sweetheart deal? Why not.

When the ACC expanded, they were looking for a school that would enhance ACC football so they targeted a school with SEC morals that would try to win at all costs. That is Louisville.

Rutgers has been an embarrassment to the Big 10 due to athletic performance. Louisville has been an embarrassment to the ACC due to their character.
