On any contending or legit team Buddy would be a 15-20 mpg sniper off the bench. Nothing more. Teams with a C or dynamic PGs who can blow by and collapse the D. We don’t have that

The only logical place to get to with these criticisms is a new coach. The staff and AD don’t concern themselves with how fans feel about the coaching/recruiting. Collectively, we fans all know the team’s shortcomings. We have hundreds of posts a day complaining about the same things. It just gets tiresome, from my perspective. If people are complaining for the sake of complaining, my question is why.

My issue with last night is that the team looked like a team totally unprepared for the game. Even Quincy said we didn’t recognize their shooters. That’s inexplainable. You don’t recognize once ok, but after that you get sat down. It’s amazing how being pulled can get your attention. There’s too little accountability on this team. I don’t buy the excuse “we’re playing the best players that give us a chance to win.” That’s horse crap. There’s no rhyme or reason for substitutions and how Marek and Buddy continue to play the minutes they do is crazy. I‘m getting tired hearing excuse after excuse. It’s called “coaching” up your team and not just doing the same old thing. If it doesn’t work you can’t keep doing the same thing. Unfortunately, we all know change won’t take place. How do you reward a player after helping you win a game against Miami? You play him three minutes in the next two games. What a way to encourage players to work hard. It’s just getting old.

Your logic is flawed. The administration isn't going to change coaches because fans complain either. We complain because that's what fans do. When times are good we all give figurative high fives. Alot of people see and agree with them, which makes one wonder how the coach doesnt? and one of the biggest problems right now is the cancer known as nepotism and stubborness.

What if I told you Cuse signed a 3 star Top 350 player with an .8660 rating at SG, and then hardly recruited a player at that position for 3 recruiting cycles while trying to make him the focal point of your offense and primary scorer. You would think that coach (JB) would need a drug test. The results the last 2 years speak for themselves. He is not a superstar or All ACC level player. The Coach needs to stop with dreaming that he is one. The team/school/fan base deserves better.

JB has ran off many players with a higher pedigree and more potential than his son.

Agreed. Getting blown out was deflating and frustrating. It’s a snapshot of how far we’ve fallen. But Virginia is the best team we’ll play all season. Their offense is leagues better than it was last season (their bad offense was why we were able to win that first game against them last year) and their defense is rounding into the usual stout UVA pack line. Time to move on.

Goodine and Carey were both recruited there (they’re combo guards). So there were other guys recruited. They didn’t work out because they didn’t show much when they played.

Kadary playing 30 minutes is probably not the answer that wins this team more games. When he’s played against the better teams, he hasn’t done anything that wows you. He played well against VT; everybody did (well, not Buddy lol). Could Buddy have sat more against VT? Sure. Did it have any affect on the game? Not really.

So people can rail about nepotism all they want, and I agree his minutes should be dialed back a little bit, but there really aren’t appreciably better options on this roster. Griffin cannot play SG.

So, recruiting is an issue. We knew recruiting was an issue when the season started. Why do we have to whine about it now? Didn’t we all whine about it plenty before? Did the staff intend to be thin at guard? No, they thought Carey and Goodine could play at this level. They thought wrong. Strike against them, but that’s a strike they had against them to start the season. Again, why complain about recruiting right now? Just to commiserate over the dead horse that’s been beaten to dust, I guess?

But they're just humans playing basketball. And none of them are projected to do anything in the NBA except for maybe Hauser who is projected to be a very late second round pick. This isn't the 1996 title game we're talking about where there is just a massive talent disparity.
