Life and Beth was watchable.
I cant even remember much of the prior seasons except the haunted house episode and initial paper boi song.Season 3 of Atlanta starts tonight on FX at 10! Been a long 4 year wait since season 2. So much so that I’m going to stay up, even though I’m tired now.
Episode 1 was WAY off the beaten path, especially off a 4 year absence. I initially hated it, but by the end once I fully realized what they were doing, I loved it. Ballsy move.I cant even remember much of the prior seasons except the haunted house episode and initial paper boi song.
Finally sat down and knocked out both. 1st was hilarious in what they went for.Episode 1 was WAY off the beaten path, especially off a 4 year absence. I initially hated it, but by the end once I fully realized what they were doing, I loved it. Ballsy move.
Episode 2 was solid - back to the crew and their hijinks, mixed with social commentary.
I checked the TV guide channel to make sure I was actually watching Atlanta after like 5-10 minutes, lol. But at some point the light went on.Finally sat down and knocked out both. 1st was hilarious in what they went for.
I’m guessing you finished this by now. I enjoyed the buildup, but felt let down by the finale. Were you pleased?I've been enjoying the apple tv+ miniseries Suspicion. Solid so far (6/8 eps watched)
Agreed, re: the finale vs buildup.I’m guessing you finished this by now. I enjoyed the buildup, but felt let down by the finale. Were you pleased?
The whole thing hit on so many hilarious points. The dog getting to eat the better food, using the kids to sell kombucha at the market. Most importantly, the white guy coming up and asking the kid if his dad's name was Hugs because he was wearing the sign that said Free Hugs. That was so brilliant and perfect I was dying.I checked the TV guide channel to make sure I was actually watching Atlanta after like 5-10 minutes, lol. But at some point the light went on.
The “we don’t use wash cloths” part had me rolling. This show never mails it in - the effort and care into every episode is always evident.
Finale was a major waste. Very annoyed.I’m guessing you finished this by now. I enjoyed the buildup, but felt let down by the finale. Were you pleased?

Really loving Severance so far. Also enjoying The Dropout through 2 eps.
So I went back and watched Inventing Anna, way more compelling than I thought it would be. I got over the accent pretty quick. Agree that the last 2 episodes or so could have been condensed or just cut.I paused it 30seconds into the first episode. I told ladycusetroop I didn’t think I could handle the accent/voice. I should get a medal for this one.
The Dropout—I probably only started it because I like Amanda. I didn’t know she was a good actress, though. She’s really wonderful in this. I don’t know how accurate her portrayal of this real person has been, but she is compelling in the role and my eyes never leave her. She’s carrying a lot of responsibility for making this an interesting and watchable series. I’m current with the show (ep 6 or 7?) and I look forward to each new one.Really loving Severance so far. Also enjoying The Dropout through 2 eps.
Timeless brilliance. About once a year, I’ll go through them and it’s like Seinfeld—I love them as much now as when I first saw them many years ago.i found a 5 disc set of THE HONEYMOONERS . still cracks me up.
