IMO we wil not get Bryant. Convince me I am wrong.

CM leaving only makes Cuse more attractive to Bryant, he could now feasibly see time at both the 4 and 5 now in his first year
One of the first articles about him last fall indicated that he was waiting until this spring so he could see who was returning. Was the implications where would he get more playing time or who would have the strongest squad to make a title run. My bet was the former. SU may be his favorite school but with another McD AA playing PF, how much time would he have gotten at his preferred position? He may have been waiting to see if CM was returning. Or not.

When will lose a kid that's 90 miles down the road, he's been to a million SU games, his mother is in love with the program, when we recruit his bf because he's a student player, we don't,t recruit a D1 point guard or anyone the can shoot except dunks, we get beat out by Crean, have a coach that is a crumudgeon, hated by everyone except SU and including Ncaa. ... I don' except any miracles and Talk about SU eliticism is a top ten exaggeration.
Who crapped in your Cheerios today? Wow, this is really sad stuff. Are you sure you want to be on a syracuseFAN.com board? Turn that frown around, Debbie Downer.

I wouldn't discount the latter, though. From everything we've seen, TB wants to win before anything else. Won a state in NY. Boom. Went to Wiggy's prep school to play and compete among the best. Pow. Plays every minute like it's the final four.

If UK had him higher up the pecking order, he would have pulled the trigger. Thon Maker, Zimmerman, Rabb and maybe even Swanigan and Cheick Diallo might be on UK's wish list ahead of Bryant, not that I agree with that. I would still take Bryant over all but Rabb and Thon. Not a huge Zimmerman fan. Diallo and TB are a toss up. Different players but elite at their niche. Btw, Thomas Bryant has competed against most if not all of this class's big men, and he's easily held his own and outplayed some of these guys on both ends of the floor.
So that would leave us, IU and Mizzou. ;)

Don't have a clue how this plays out but with the loss of Cmac - TB is the difference between top 25 relevancy and bubble mediocrity.

If Thomas Bryant wants to play for a winning coach with a good looking roster and other than the sanctions a good looking future with coaching stability(assuming hopkins is coach in waiting) Syracuse is the place to be. Seems to me Indiana is always underachieving or just doesn't have the talent to compete. Add to that their coach is on the hot seat. Come on Mr. Bryant your mom knows best.

All I know is Indiana sucks and Tom Crean is sitting on the hottest seat in the country. He's not very well liked or appreciated in Bloomington.

I love Bryant but Diallo is amazing. Diallo looks like he plays on a pogo stick...incredible hops. Bryant is an old school air craft carrier center. Diallo is a Ferrari.

Whatever this is worth the SYRACUSE BBALL twitter handle just said that "Malachi Richardson says SYRACUSE has a 'good chance' at landing TB."

It's worth nothing. The guy just repeats stuff sourced elsewhere. He got that from an online article from the PS. Nothing to do but wait and see. I feel like it is 70/30 that he decides on cuse. There is a lot to like about what we offer and that got more positive today with the departure of CM.

Same thing with MCW and Noel...that didn't work out well.

I hear what you're saying, but you're not factoring in some key areas. Low post offense. Easily TB. Has a ton of moves inside and out. Which brings me to another point. Did you see Diallo's outside shot attempts yesterday and prior games? Terrible. Cheick is the better athlete and shot blocker, and you're right. On springs. Impeccable timing. And they both play with urgency 24/7. But Bryant is the better true center. He's going to make people work on both sides of the court. Diallo, for now, and aside from his slashing and finishing, mostly on the defensive side. It's a factor to me. Edit: my bad if 'old school air craft carrier center' was that. ;)

In my opinion, he won't come here because *** us. Nothing goes our way and no primetime big men sign here.

Also, in my opinion, he's an idiot if he picks anybody but Kentucky over us. Kentucky I understand, Indiana would be beyond stupid.

Yes, old school air craft carrier was that. I forget what commentator used to refer to centers like Ewing, Bill Wennington, Sampson, etc as air craft carriers but it refers to low post offense and being a true center. So yeah...what you said. And I'm not saying it is a slam dunk of Diallo over Bryant. For one year they might be similarly productive but in a long term situation, I'd give Diallo the edge. That being said, they are likely both one and dones.

Bryant looked awesome today...watched the first 3 quarters on DVR. He had one incredible span: nasty one-handed follow slam. A very long three from about 21 feet maybe a minute later. Those plays were maybe midway through the 2nd quarter.

I love the constant hustle on both ends and the leadership. He also hustled back on defense and then gave up his body to draw a tough charge.

He will be Orange. I have faith.

I think we get him.

The whole "staff hasn't been in contact" is just a decoy. SU is trying to keep the other schools interested. They have TB recording all his conversations with kentucky and are hoping to catch them red handed in a scandal. TB and the staff is just trolling creen and IU because hoosier tears are so sweet.
