Sigh. I must be a dinosaur but i liked it better in the 80’s and 90’s when it was just basketball and no frills with amazing crowds, the dome ranger and free fries when we scored 100.

i remember taking my brother to a BB game back mid 80's . not a huge sports fan he spent almost the entire game back behind the blue curtain. whateva happened behind the curtain stayed behind the curtain ...

now i have not been to a home football game myself this season but the 4th qtr attendance numbers seem to suggest what some sleepers might recall as the DUTCH OVEN EFFECT . the old fart and fluff in the dome. people hitting the exit aisles as desperate and frantic as ernest borgnine in the poseidon adventure

Wish the band sounded better. But it’s a small band.

Yeah, it’s not a huge marching band, but I don’t know if they sound bad. It’s hard to tell what sounds good in the dome. Every single musical act I’ve seen there sounds awful and headache inducing.

The only in game thing I listen to is when they honor a vet. The kid asking a fan about Frans favorite pizza topping or a player naming cereal, not interested.
We can't really do it but dimming the lights in the stands like they do at MSG creates a great vibe.

Grab n go beer is the best fan experience improvement they've ever made.

If I could get greedy beyond that, I'd like a bigger band and for them to play The Saltine Warrior after extra points.

I personally met this consultant before a game. He stated to me that day that the Dome production staff and members of the SUAD were too comfortable in what they had always been doing to really make the changes.

I’ve said this before , With the lighting and the Dome advantage we should b able to come up with a dazzling entrance , it’s an easy formula psych music, + light show + fan interaction ( even if it’s mostly students) Nothing intricate about Va Tech entrance ,and it’s awesome (coming from someone that does not like the Hokies )

The last time they had less than 6 losses in a season was 2019 (5 losses). The last time they had a 10 win season was 2016. Even Syracuse has had 2 since then.

Yes, it would be fair to say I don't like Virginia Tech. You have to live among them to appreciate how deep the dislike goes.

I absolutely loved my experience there in 2023, which is saying a lot since our game was over mid-first quarter.

I don't like the silliness when we are down by a lot, especially when the game is a foregone conclusion. The wave, dance cam etc.. no patience for it. But I get that it's for th kids and casuals.

I've debating going to the student section and asking for some dogs.

If you go to the 300 section, you can order several hundred for you and the 4 students left in the 4th Q

Something the Miami students did was pretty cool

Way up at the top of a nearly empty upper endzone section the camera played about 8 students up there shirts off dancing around.

Each time the camera panned up there the group got bigger and bigger.

Finally there were probably 500+ students up there dancing.

SU students do something similar for like a Colgate, etc...
