That Lydon will be back? He was dominated tonight.

He's had a rough 2-3 week stretch. Missing layups, getting taken to the basket, shot being blocked because of hesitation.

He's softer than charmin.

Wednesday and the ACC tournament will decide a lot regarding that in my opinion.

When Lydon gets to the draft combine his stock will fall. He lacks elite athleticism. His physical dimensions are ordinary. Mali was just the opposite. But who knows, the NBA is so screwed up.

Seems like people close to the program say no way he comes back. Personally he prob should go because I think he hurts his stock more coming back. He will be a dleaguer /end of bench guy for awhilr

Fair viewpoint. We are capable of winning even when he is in outer space. It really comes down to Gillon, Battle, and White for us. The way Lydon has played lately I just consider it a bonus if he plays well on offense.

Stretch 4s and big men that can shoot are all the rave in the NBA now. He can hit 3s and rebound. He will be gone in the first round and be in the D League before you know it IMO.

Lydon's limitations will not improve by coming back. Tyler Ennis made a brilliant decision by leaving when he did - Lydon should do the same.

15 boards is respectable any night. just didn't seemed to get engaged offensively til it was too late. and part of that was the volume shooting of TT.

He had a bad game on offense, but I'm not sure the time to call him soft is after he had 15 rebounds and got hacked more than a couple of times by Lammers without getting the whistle.
I'm talking more about his reluctance to shoot or go strong at the rim. People keep saying stretch 4 in the NBA, but those guys do this magical thing called shooting the ball.

Am I ready to entertain it? No, I don't like rooting for injuries.

If Lydon makes an unexpected choice because he likes college, that'd be awesome... But I think the only way it happens is if he suffers a major injury and I would hate to see that.

I'm not rooting for an injury. I'm actually rooting for him to go off and carry us into the second round of the tourney.

He won't be back, but yes, the thought entered my mind.

He p*ssed me off tonight. I know he had two fouls but he would literally just move out of the way in the second half when defenders came at him. At that point it's okay to pick up a 3rd.

He is gone and should leave if he is top 20, but I do not see him lasting in the NBA unless he gets substantially better.
Can anyone actually think Lydon is going to defend NBA 3-men (SF) playing m-2-m? Never. He's too undersized to play the 4...would have to put on 20 lbs of muscle.

It's so maddening that our average college players are top 20 picks. You'd think we'd be a lot better since this seems to happen often to us. Guys who really aren't that dominant but leave early. At least at Duke and Kentucky their guys are dynamite.

Yet guys like Justin Jackson, Hicks, Hart all stay 3-4 years...how bout Brice Johnson staying 4 ? Lol...unreal. Id also bet a ton Hart becomes a better pro than Lydon. Will be a key role player on a winning team for ten plus years

If I was an NBA GM, I would not waste a first round pick on Lydon if he keeps playing like this. What does he do that's an NBA caliber skill? He's about average NBA PF height and lighter/weaker than most. He's got good athleticism but nothing that wows you. He can shoot if everybody stays a few feet away from him but can't get himself open. His up-and-under is solid.

What would an NBA GM see that would make him spend a few million to experiment with Lydon right now?

Over our last 6 games Lydon has averaged 11 points per game and has been held under 10 in 3 out of those 6. Screams top 20 pick, but of course because he plays for Syracuse he will leave.
