Is it safe to say

I think you ride with him starting games. He can still be a lethal shooter when he gets going. But that's the thing...if he doesn't get going (which he hasn't), I'm all for Kadary and JG3 splitting minutes

It might have been just settling in, but we were tied 15 to 14 against the Niagra, then Kadary took over point, with Girard running an off point role, and all of a sudden it was 32 to 16 with a couple trips to the foul line that cost Kadary 2 assists, and an oop to Kadary from Girard.

1. the competition has been weak so far...so hard to say for sure how things shake out vs. good teams
2. JG3 has stuggled for whatever reasons
3. there's a psychological aspect to these types of decisions and its a long season - so I can see why a coach might be slow to make such a move
4. could be that JG3 sees how good kadary is and that is partly why he is struggling to just play and relax out there...but could be a bunch of other factors as well.

the coach has to be careful to handle the situation properly...for now...both players need to play a lot...which is fine.

Just can't have Girard and Buddy on the court at the same time for big minutes - there is no defense nor any transition offense - and Buddy is 5 times the player Girard is - Girard and possibly Griffen for some minutes could work

We are obviously going to see a lot of the Buddy/Joe combo and likely more than many of us really want to see. Right now I see that combo as our 3rd or 4th best guard combo.
Kadary/Buddy
Kadary/Joe
Kadary/Alan
Joe/Buddy

Just curious what makes people think Griffin is a guard because he’s probably our second best rebounder? I’m willing to bet he plays less than 10 minutes of guard when the rest of the guys are all available.

He's not, but I think he is the best candidate if we need another guard in an emergency.

He looks like the second best shooter - he's quick - and he can handle the ball - sounds like a 2G or SF to me

Look...it's new and shiny.
Did you say that last year when Joe usurped sophomore Jalen Carey at PG? ... I wasn’t a huge Girard fan coming into his freshman year, but he was clearly our best answer at PG last season and I wound up being impressed with his overall play and development. But it’s obvious to me that Kadary has bigger long term upside as a PG and in all facets of the game except maybe shooting. Joe is an important building block (we need three really good guards in the rotation), but if we want to contend for championships, he can’t be the starting PG here for the next four years and play 35-40mpg.

bc guerrier sidibe marek are arguably top 5 players on the team as well.
