It's showtime -- let the (NBA) games begin!

Billy Donovan lost OKC games 4 and 5.

Awful substitution patterns.

Roberson game 4 should have been pulled.

Westbrook testing cost them game 5.

He will be back in college in 2-3 years.

He should have taken him out of the game after the first time they fouled him.

I really want to see GS vs. SAS in the WCF for the epic coaching mismatch between Mike Brown and Pop.

If Pop ever found a way to win that series, he should just retire as the goat, and run for president.

I don't think Donovan is a bad coach, necessarily. He just can't trump what Russ is going to do. Russ has all the power.

They cannot win with Russ' usage rate in the NBA playoffs.

Russ absolutely kills them in the 4th quarter. And people keep talking about the +/- when Russ isn't in the game, but the fact of the matter is that Russ' has dominated the ball so much that there is no way to have a second unit that can run a functional motion offense with any success after being tied down to Russ-ball.

Maybe it's Donovan's fault for not being more forceful with what needed to be done, but OKC went all in on Russ and they got a lot of entertaining games, lot of fans and a lot of TV coverage. They don't have too much incentive to change what they are doing, because that would entail Russ giving up a lot of ownership of the ball.

Giannis going to the hole and taking the two that they were giving him...yikes. Gotta get off a 3 there.

Great player, he had a great game...but that was bad.

Mystifying. He waited way, way too long to do that. They needed to take a 3. They also needed to make their free throws.

But good young team, good coach, good chance at a good future. Excellent comeback tonight from 25 down.

Looking forward to Cavs-Toronto. Cleveland in 5 or 6.

I was rooting so hard for Jason Terry to get a look there. I was loving his late game heroics.

Yeah, the Bucks are in position to be competitive in the future. Fun team.

Honestly, after watching Kawhi in this past series, here is my list of top players in the NBA that I consider elite, franchise guys:

Tier 1:
LeBron (top five player of all time, if not higher)

Tier 2:
Kawhi (best two-way player)
KD (best offensive player)
Curry (best shooter of all time and changes the space on the floor)

Tier 3:
Harden
Russ
AD (if he can stay healthy)
Giannis

I think you have to put Russ and Harden tier 2.

Russ is clearly behind Harden/Curry. Been outplayed by both two years in a row when the series was on the line and Curry wasn't even 100 percent physically.

I don't know if Greek Freek or AD are capable of putting a team on their backs. They might be tier four. Also, I've never been a huge Chris Paul fan. Obviously he is a very good player. But, even after all these years, he is still extremely talented. The Clips would have no chance vs the Jazz if it wasn't for Chris Paul carrying the load. I'd put him at tier 3.5

I'm going to bump my own thread because Hoops Hype just released their NBA player rankings. The top 25 is interesting, especially their number one. I'm not necessarily going to argue it, especially after a record breaking season.
We have ranked all the players in the NBA this season
If you want to see where most of the Cuse players were ranked start in the 300's. The good news is that they are still collecting NBA paychecks.
