It's showtime -- let the (NBA) games begin!

Probably the "right" move for Boston is to look into moving IT this summer. I don't know how realistic it is, but I can't imagine his value will ever be any higher, and I'm presuming you're drafting his replacement at #1.

I think Avery Bradley has more trade value than Isaiah Thomas.

I don't think Thomas would bring back more than his offensive value.

I could see Avery Bradley leading a package for LaMarcus Aldridge.

Yeah, it would be pretty cold, but IT will go from being on an extremely team friendly contract to a potentially team jeopardizing contact really quickly.

That, plus he's coming off a career year, and he's a short PG who relies a lot of his quickness, which isn't the type of player you expect to age particularly well.

In non playoff news; all NBA teams are announced today. Could be huge for guys like Heyward and Paul George, who are FA this year and next

As a lifelong short person, shorter than Isaiah, I feel his pain. Dan LeBatard says this looked like a father and his son playing at the JCC.

All-NBA Teams announced.

Of notable importance, no Gordon Hayward or Paul George, meaning neither qualify for the supermax.

Hayward to Boston could pickup steam if Utah can't give a super max.

If I'm Hayward, and I want Boston, I'm not really loving the idea of IT as my point guard.
He is perfect for Boston because they need a second scorer when teams put their best defender on Isaiah.

Boston's biggest weakness is they don't have a consistent second scorer.
Horford is a point Center and Avery Bradley isn't consistent enough.

Hayward is that wing scorer the C's lack.

Indiana and Boston will be in play for Hayward.

I brought this up before, I don't think it will happen, but heyward could opt in for his final year and try and make all league next year

I doubt Indiana. Hayward wants to win. There's a whole lot of unknown in Pacer nation.

Resigning in Utah will come down to how far he thinks he can go with Gobert/Snyder/the Jazz front office.

Boston is interesting because of the coaching connection, although Hayward loves Snyder by all accounts. Who knows what Ainge will do, but he's in prime position to do something to be very competitive for a long time. That will hold appeal.

Hayward needs to be a little bit careful though if he wants to stay in Utah. If he believes Utah can compete and he wants to stay there, it will help the team around him a lot if he commits early to that.

Towns being the 16th is... weird. And over Gasol?

Gasol gets no respect.

I imagine Gasol's rebounding is a huge reason for it. He's a worse rebounder than Brook Lopez at this point. KAT scores more, scores more efficiently, rebounds more...I can definitely see where most voters would favor KAT even if I probably wouldn't.

KAT's team sucks tho

Can anyone explain to me what the Celts are doing with their two European draft picks from last years draft? Do they have a time frame? Are they going to come to the US and actually play? I am just confused by it and am curious because they both looked like real talents

They coming next year.

The Celtics had 15 guaranteed contracts on the books this year.

Nobody would take any of their roster in trades so Danny took stash players for next year.
Amir Johnson, Gerald Green, James Young, Jonas Jerreko come off the books and Kelly Olynyk has a qualifying offer the Celtics can give.

The picks they took last year the French player they compare to Draymond Green best case scenario worst case he is Amir Johnson at lesser money.

The Croatian center they took ripped up the Turkish League and it is actually a legit prospect.

They are coming over next year. The French men played in the D league playoffs and was a stud.

The Celtics stashed so they wouldn't have a roster crunch this year.

They have the Nets pick in 2018 and the Grizzlies 2019 pick top 9 protected and Clippers 2019 pick top 14 protected.

After 2019 the Clippers pick becomes unprotected and the Grizzlies pick becomes top 3 in 2020 and unprotected in 2021.

Celtics have plenty of future draft capital.

Kevin Durant and Steph Curry were on the second team. That's just amazing to think about.

Penalized for playing together. Guaranteed first teamers if they weren't on the same team.

Personally I wouldn't have had AD on first team but everyone has their preferences.

I think it's more a case of Durant missing too many games and there was just no way Steph would get more votes than Harden or Westbrook. I don't think they were penalized at all unless you mean in the sense that if Durant didn't go to Golden State, perhaps Steph could have competed with the other two guards statistically, and likewise for Durant.

I think Durant was in part punished because he missed some games, but also, putting Kawhi over him is a totally reasonable call. As far as I know, it's not like the all star game ballot, it's more restrictive on positions, so you can only vote for 2 of Lebron/Kawhi/Durant. And also 2 of Steph/Russ/Harden.

I think Durant is a better player than AD (I think Steph is better as well), but that wasn't an option. I'd vote AD over any of the other C

It's crazy to thinlk Kevin Durant hasn't made first team all league for 3 years running now. It's going to be a battle between him and Kawhi for the second spot for the next few years unless they change the voting process.

They have to have a center on each team, which is the biggest joke I think. DeAndre isn't one of the 15 best players in the league. Not close.

These teams should be two guards and three forwards/centers.

Yeah I think at this point in time basketball is basically positionless so they probably should do away with picking certain players just to fill a quota.
