It's showtime -- let the (NBA) games begin!

This can't be good for the NBA, can it? The Finals will be Super Bowl level but nobody I know cares about the regular season or playoffs.

I'm a big NBA guy and I can officially say that this has been the most boring season since I started watching Inside Stuff with Ahmad Rashad as a little kid.

Having only 2 teams with any chance at all to win the title is not a good thing. What's has made these playoffs even worse than knowing nobody else has a chance, is that a lot of these games aren't even close. Even in that Washington-Boston series that went 7, there were numerous blowouts. I love the NBA and always love the playoffs, but I haven't been able to get into them at all this year. Finals should be fun though. Though knowing how this season has gone, we'll probably get a surprise sweep with 2 of the games being blowouts.

Can we just fast forward to the Finals already?

The NBA is turning into Women's CBB with two UConns and nobody else who can do anything.
Celebrate the game. "Ali-Frazier III" is gonna be fun!

I've poo poohed all the blah blah blah about the Cavs porous defense, feeling they'll turn it on when it matters. GS a far more-difficult defensive task, but, 9 1/2 games into the Cavs post-season, I like what I see. This team's playing better than the Cavs who won it all last year.

Yup.. Certain superstars need to grow some balls. This whole superteam nonsense has got to go.

I completely agree. I don't think Golden State should waltz into the Finals as heavy favorites. Lebron is unreal and Kyrie might be the best guard in the game with role players who are sharpshooters and Thompson who singlehandedly prevents their small ball lineups from being killed on the boards.

However, the East is embarrassing and Cleveland/Golden State have accumulated such assets that the 3rd place team might as well being playing in a Euro-league.

Not even upset.
Celtics disgraced basketball tonight.

Gutless performance by them.
Cavs might have something to do with it, starting with the Alpha Dogg, LeBron.

I'd like to see Lue sit everyone and go with the end of the bench the second half. Olynyk scares me.

Testament to why Boston fans make the franchises.

Boston needs more than above average role players and a fake superstar. I'd absolutely move on from Thomas if I was them- I can't imagine John Wall would let his team get curbstomped in 2 games at home against Cleveland...Washington wouldn't win but they wouldn't get laughed off the court.

Bring back Rondo and don't keep him on a short leash. Get some grit besides Brown/Smart and Rozier.

It's the culture that's been created with the whole "lol, how many rings does he have?" GREAT players like Barkley, Iverson, Malone, etc. have been regularly criticized/mocked by both sports media and fans for years for not winning a ring. Lebron super teamed up and made sure he at least got a ring in Miami, KD is trying to do the same in GS.

They are drafting Fultz for the PG.

I would Keep Isaiah I am not overpaying him. 4 years 100 million range.

Celtics need another scorer for sure.

They have nobody they can throw the ball too and score except IT.

What about Melo? You could probably offer PJax a sack of potatoes and get him.

Playoffs have been poor; the ratings are doing shockingly well, that considered.

I'm watching old Monday Night Raw episodes on WWE Network.

Officially checked out until the finals start. Least interesting season and playoffs ever, until the finals start.
Bash at the beach 1998 here

It's not enough. Get Rondo at the 1 and Fultz at the 2 with Bradley then.

We need a veteran with balls that's had success vs Lebron. Horford is absolutely not cutting it, Bradley can't do this on his own.

I for one enjoy watching two teams play at the highest level ever.

Me too. And I enjoy watching those teams get pushed a long the way and sometimes even beaten by other great teams. OKC-GS was a war last year. Cleveland-Chicago was pretty good two years ago. Even though the better teams and favorites won out in the end, they were at least pushed to the limit. GS was really on the ropes against OKC.

Who fixes the Celtics chances, if its possible? Choose 2 from this list.

Heyward
George
Butler
Melo
Griffin
Aldridge

Assuming Boston drafts Fultz and keeps him I choose Melo and Aldridge I guess. If the spurs won't give him up without the 2017 pick, then Hayward.

Not trading the #1 pick for Aldridge.

Trade Avery Bradley and future pick for him.

you still think IT gives us more value against the Cavs/Warriors etc. than Bradley does? Bradley's a vet and the only guy left from the big three teams. Maybe I put too much value in that.

Mellow is a ballstopper and a gunner n plays no d-fence. Crowder is better bcuz he's more efficient.

Wanted to post like a Facebook bleacher report commenter.

Crowder in his prime won't be half as effective as 40 year old Melo

IT made 2nd team all-NBA.
Avery Bradley plays 50-60 games each year cause he can't stay healthy.

I would trade IT for a real asset not a dump.

I think bradley and a pick could get Aldridge.

I really didn't have much the Celts would win this series. They just never seemed like a Finals team to me all year. But I didn't think they would embarrass themselves.

Man, I wish ESPN or ABC were carrying this game. Van Gundy's a hoot at moments like this.
