Guys, I know this hard to imagine, but we mutually parted ways with the general.
Who’s our center this season?

happy for him. he's by all accounts a great teammate and dude. wish he had been healthier for us. He also needs the most money and staff thinks they don't lose much by going with a different, cheaper option. Moneyball essentially.Agreed. I would imagine USC offers a pretty nice paycheck for him as well, they have a real need for a center as well. Great stop gap for them
So, Scott Hatteberg is going to be our center next season?!happy for him. he's by all accounts a great teammate and dude. wish he had been healthier for us. He also needs the most money and staff thinks they don't lose much by going with a different, cheaper option. Moneyball essentially.
And that is the only path for true success at Syracuse. I know we talk about all the money Fran can bring in but we still need to be rather selective in the hiring processhappy for him. he's by all accounts a great teammate and dude. wish he had been healthier for us. He's been working hard all offseason!!! It's just center guys...So, Scott Hatteberg is going to be our center next season?!

Umm...U S and C Comstock.He must be showing sufficient dedication to S&C.
And if C doesn’t work out, we can use him on the D-line.

Good luck to him wherever he goes. I hope he has a chance to play his senior season again fully healthy.
Didn't someone say that he was one of the not buy guys or am I mistakenI absolutely think he has the pedigree of USC and I think he has the pedigree of SU as well. I'd be shocked if we were the ones that told him to move on.
That's right I think u said this earlier as he didn't buy inGuys, I know this hard to imagine, but we mutually parted ways with the general.
Chris Pratt have any eligibilitySo, Scott Hatteberg is going to be our center next season?!
Got the genesWohlabaugh for Center!
Was it "mutual", or was it J'Onre said he'd come back for a bigger payday and we said no?Guys, I know this hard to imagine, but we mutually parted ways with the general.
Agreed. Free agency at its finest but no salary cap and we are the KC RoyalsI have a feeling a lot of these “we said no guys” were no to guaranteed NIL. Without a center for next season, I can’t for the life of me seeing us just ask a 2 year starter to move on to USC , even if he was losing snaps to Josh last season.

Right. and we were planning for that all along since the General getting another year was unexpected. That's what I assumed. Can't imagine we just said you can leave, you're not DART enough.
I assume we place a value on what we can pay him vs what the depth looks like. Reed probably wanted more than we were willing to pay. We run with another center and focus the dollars on other needs.
No. We aren't. We are in the mix with a whole bunch of other schools.Agreed. Free agency at its finest but no salary cap and we are the KC Royals
Don’t think it was him. He played all season even when injured.Didn't someone say that he was one of the not buy guys or am I mistaken
Especially since it remains to be seen how much of the SEC/Big Ten second/third tiers will actually spend in terms of revenue sharing. There are undoubtedly 15-20 FB schools (rough guess) that are spending a LOT and then there are 40 others that will end up in roughly the same ballpark for the most part. So we will be in the bigger group, just outside the Tier 1.No. We aren't. We are in the mix with a whole bunch of other schools.
Better work out as Center is the key to the OL. They make all the calls and if you are not tight at that position you suckThat's what I assumed. Can't imagine we just said you can leave, you're not DART enough.

Cool, we’re making the playoffs!!Agreed. Free agency at its finest but no salary cap and we are the KC Royals
