So to me it's not a loss if you have a suitable replacement. I would imagine all things equal to lose our starter and 2nd string leaving us currently for next season just our 3rd string center and incoming freshman is not great? That said, they are both big dudes which is good. The freshman will be a true center which is also good. But I would say we have big questions at center heading into the spring. We could bring in a portal guy so still options there as well.You don't have to buy it, but that's just reality. The running game was terrible this year and part of the reason was because the interior offensive line play was subpar. So the numbers matched what we saw for the most part. He was an average pass protector as well. Is what it is. Sure, it would've been nice to have him back. But it's not bashing him to say that it's not a killer loss.
Unless people know something about Hornsby that changes the calculus?
