Would definitely prefer that too if feasibleThis is purely anecdotal but it seems that most QBs that are gonna be really good are ready to start by their second year unless they're buried behind a star. Give him a year of strength and conditioning, acclimation to college, and spring practice, and he should be good to go. If he's not, I hope Fran recruits over him this off season. It would be nice to have QBs in the program that can be 2-3 year starters, so we don't have to rely on annual hired guns.
