I texted my group chat after that read option on 4th down "Ummm Jamie Tremble is an NFL Linebacker??" and I truly believe that. He needs to stay on the defensive side of the ball. Unteachable instincts and athleticism. Marlowe Wax came as a RB, Barron came as a WR, Doug Hogue... lots of examples

The basic tools for football are the same on both sides of the ball. Size, speed, athleticism, coordination, balance, etc.

But some guys just have better instincts playing one position over another...

on this thought, I would not be shocked if Jamie always was primarily being projected as a TE out of HS(He played both) because that's what his brother played and made the NFL as.

He has day 1 potential on the defensive side. Dude is barely scratching the surface on defense and has been in the backfield more times this year so far than any other player. Not to mention he has already made couple nice open field tackles. What you are seeing from Tremble on D right now is raw ability and instincts. You give this dude a season to tone his skills, pass rushing, playbook, pass coverage skills. He’s already got a great size and elite athleticism for the position. If he wants to make a lot of money and make a big impact. He needs to stay on defense. I’m fairly certain he’ll be taken in the first 3 rounds by the time he is done here is he does. He has stud potential written all over him on the defensive side

Why? Clement, Baker-Washington, Bowman, Bacheyie are already on the roster.

If those guys look good in practice then they won't dip into the portal. I was only playing a guessing game. Hope these guys develop and show quality.

The colour guy on the broadcast Louis Riddick, who played in the league and spent 14 years working in NFL front offices (up to Director of Pro Personnel), couldn’t stop gushing about Tremble.

I don’t think there was a player on either team he was hyping up more from a pro potential standpoint.

Tremble has certainly passed the eyeball test early on.
