I am typically not a big fan of Jay, and thought he did a terrible job in last night's game. But today he was quite poignant about SU, especially in regards to Bell.

Some classic Jay-Will tonight when he was lauding one of their players’ defense & only his defense for like 20 seconds straight after he caused a turnover. The dude hits a three on their ensuing possession & Jay exclaims “that’s what you call speaking it into existence”. What? Lol

Also loved when Petar MustacheMarek (spelling?) was on defense & the second his man gets the ball, Jay says “oh, mismatch here”, as if he knows anything about Petar, only to watch Petar take the dude’s lunch.

That said. When Jay talks about basketball I do think he has interesting takes, and I tend to agree with a bunch of his interpretations.

Yeah, NBA contracts, or boosters, ticket prices, trust funds, etc. Pretty sure the joke is that Duke basketball is a $$$ environment more than an academic one.

Didn’t mind him as a player (compared to most Dukies), but he is pretty brutal as a commentator.

I’ll never forgive him for making a huge deal out of Frank Howard tripping Zion (only time Frank has ever done something like that to my knowledge) while he completely excused Grayson Allen for repeatedly tripping players in his career.

Ah, you're probably right. Although, I'm not sure that really makes the exchange make much more sense unless he was really hyped about the spare change that was included in his contract.
