I'll make an assumption this is about me too. All I said is the Moyer's are awesome people and I brought up Annette's involvement in basketball in OH just to amplify that she's around HS kids a lot and their coaches and is not the kind of person who'd intentionally override the authority of our coaches/ medical staff. That is what ultimately happened but the Moyer's didn't do that maliciously . She and her husband were thinking of their son's health.

And I consider you a friend and don't mind debating friends but if you are going to call me out, do it directly. If not, you might as well put an "ed" after "consider."

I don't know what's the question. Bayer spells our guards. Battle slides to the 3 when necessary. Marek plays some 5 if need be. Patrick Herlihy would play up front if everyone fouls out.

Maybe I'm being too bold, but I could see him hitting a 3 here really soon - you can tell Wake respected his shooting ability, his man did not leave him to help out like we see with Marek/Matt so many times.

I think the kid could hang for 3-4 minutes a half if need be.

Annette Moyer is no helicopter mom. She's a fantastic advocate for kids in the Columbus, Ohio area-- very active in a ton of basketball programs and is a beloved member of the community. She and her husband were not trying to wave a big middle finger at JB. They were concerned for their kid's welfare. It could've been handled differently, perhaps, but people who are equating her to TT's mom can get bent.

You can debate whether Moyer should have put himself on the shelf or not, you can't debate that any problem the coach had with his decision should have been dealt with internally.

I have always been a defender of JB and rarely get upset with the old man press conference rants, but I lose a lot of respect for him when he calls out a kid like this over an injury in a press conference. Really petty B.S. Absolutely no reason to do it.

What that also tells me is JB was blindsided by Matt's inavailability and that clearly bothered JB.

Obviously, JB is the person who needs to decide if Matt needs to shut it down after talking to the medical staff. I agree with that.

I clearly think JB was pissed off about the timing of all this and what he felt was Matt's father undermining JB's authority. Maybe there could've been better communication along the way.

That's why I said that JB is the person who should determine if a player can play. They were looking after their kid. JB was right to be upset that in trying to look after their kid, the Moyer's undermined his authority.
