John Beilein to the Pistons?

T
The Raptors had the second youngest team in the playoffs. They have a very young bench that was effective last year but were only in their first and second year (Anunoby, Poeltl, Siakem, Van Vleet). Delon Wright was in his third year, but his first year with real time.

They will not 59 wins again, but they have been around 50 for a number of years. They are going to get 50+ again.

And probably lose early in the playoffs again because they have no superstars.

They're gonna miss their coach.

I don't know that. I just think the doomsday scenarios are fun.

Everyone just writing off the Pacers? Collison was pretty good, but if they get a hold of a solid PG to get Vic off the ball even more, they will be even more competitive. They will depend on PG play and how much more Turner progresses...but overall, a very solid team.

I'm not really sure what to make of the Pacers. They're going to bring their whole team back and be a little under the cap (gotta figure there's zero chance Young doesn't pick up his option) and they're lining up to be HUGE players in free agency come 2019 when they'd pretty much only have Oladipo and Sabonis' last rookie year deal on the books before they give Turner a big raise and can potentially bring in some FAs and retain guys with Bird rights.

I like them as a sleeper contender long term, I'm not sure how much better they get in the short term though.

Why can't he win with the Pistons? He'd have Griffin and Drummond and the East sucks.

The east doesn’t suck anymore .. and griffin / Drummond aren’t actually that good

I'm low key rooting for LeBron to sign and trade and end up on the Bucks.

If he couldn’t fit with Simmons not sure he fits with the Freak.

Personally I think Lebron makes any team far better but that seems to be the going Lebron talk.

Yeah dude, East still sucks.

I know it's fun to say, but it really doesn't. There aren't the couple dominant teams you have in the west but Boston and Philly are soon to be those types of teams, and you are no longer finding those under 500 type playoff teams. If you look at the West, they are fielding more of those tank nation doormats than they have in the past. For the purposes of this discussion (Beilein to Piston's..which of course didn't happen) Beilen coaching the Piston's isn't some cat bird seat to glory. That team is bad and decided to add a really bad contract for a player in major decline in Griffen. I'd argue you'd be better off starting from scratch.
