It's a completely overplayed point anyway. The NBA largely drafts on measurables and athleticism and potential and offensive skill sets more than anything. They aren't overlooking a kid because he potentially won't have their man to man rotations down right away.
There is truth to this for sure but that perception/stigma IS out there. That is a fact. That I know and I bet opposing coaches negatively recruit that issue. Besides, many high school prospects, especially the elite ones, just don't want to play all zone. Richards, Quinerly, and many others have expressed that. It is what it is like it or not.
