It's amazing to me how many players return to the portal. Not just from here, all over the country. There are so many people who seem determined to spend their entire careers spending one year at four or five places. They never stick around and handle adversity, but just vagabond their way through their college years.

I look at it as a pseudo travel abroad system for college athletes.

For some, it’s learning hard lessons about their abilities. For others, it’s about maximizing earning potential. There are obviously other reasons too, but unlimited transfers without penalty makes it easy to run when things get tough. It also provides the opportunity to find a better situation.

Tougher to Coach an ever evolving roster I’d imagine.

That's too bad. What he did on the Hill at the end of 2023 was really appreciated as he blocked and did what he was asked to do once the QB's fell like flies.
