Kansas v k st

I miss the days of DC haymakers...you used just need to step on someone's toes accidentally for a brawl. I appreciate the analysis of what leads up to the fun.
Did DC get suspended for that? Can't recall and sorry if already been asked.

The announcers said part of new NCAA rule that every second must be played out, Might be related to all the legal sports booking sites that are springing up.

That would make sense. I recall there was a game, cant remember whether it was pro or college, fball or bball, this year or last year, that due to circumstances they just ended it, maybe it was football and weather related.

My feelings about a lot of this thread:

The taunt isn’t that bad. I mean taunts were gonna happen regardless when a team losing my 30 steals the ball as the clock is running out. You think guys aren’t gonna get in each other’s faces.

And I’m not sure he swung first hard to tell.

Also De Sousa showed a lot of restraint and maturity by putting down the chair.

I love stuff like this. When Yancy Gates for Cincinnati snuffed Kenny Freeze I had money on UC and was gonna lose but it was ruled no action so bet was refunded cause the game didn’t go 40 mins.

I don't know where to begin but that line about maturity is an all-timer.

This is neither here nor there when it comes to this incident but back in the day players played to the final buzzer. Somewhere along the way it became the norm to dribble out the clock with :20 left in a rout. You often see this with walk-ons at the finish. Here are dudes who rarely get their shot to play and then they get out there on national TV and are told don't play. What, are someone's sensibilities going to be hurt if we score on them in the final seconds? Bizarro world.

Agree, this drives me crazy. It's lame in football, but at least it makes sense. In basketball it's indefensible. No pun intended.

Actually this is all on Kansas state breaking long established sportsmanship codes and stealing the ball when Kansas is just dribbling the ball out ..

this already happened to Kansas earlier this year and I don’t blame them for having had enough of it

This happened (without the punching) to SU against St. John's a few years ago, Southerland sort of forced a late dunk and the St. John's bench was chirpy about it.

Eh.

Play for 40 minutes.

priceless on the DeSousa take. Can't make this stuff up

Best comprehensive look so far:
And here's the idiot(s) responsible, clearly 22 for taunting starting things but then the real instigator throwing what looks like a sucker punch from behind to start the whole melee is number 33 who sprints in from nowhere to gives the bums rush before the punch, if not a punch it's the aggressive pull back of the K state player that sends things off to the races:

22 and 33 Jack it up to a ridiculous level with the assault on the K st player on the ground who came off the bench to defend his player. I don't blame this guy at all and would do the same, here he's catching it from both sides getting nearly sucker punched from behind while running in trying to defuse and protect his guy and much smaller player than 22, and then Desousa starts punching from in front of him too before he starts fighting back, his suspension should be minimal those other two idiots should be done for the year.

watch the cop in your first vid (in the bench area) stand there and do nothing. Wow

There is literally nothing in this post I agree with.

I think he had one notable one in the NCAA, or BE Tourney, and I don't think they even called any fouls, technical or otherwise. I think DC threw some at the Dome though as well maybe on those a technical or ejection occurred, but nobody was getting suspended!

If there’s a coach that defines lack of institutional control it’s Bill Self. From the sneaker company fiasco, to the Snoop show (me love me some Snoop btw) to this...holy f Kansas.

I've been asleep on the CBB landscape this year & just read an article on that. That gold chain snoop dog thing actually happened? Haha how did I not get that on my twitter feed.
In a way I kinda respect the blatant who cares attitude because the ncaa is such a joke. But seriously how is the ncaa this big of a joke.

So, two wrong make a right??

There is a lot going on in this pic:

There appears to be someone from Thunderdome above the orange hat...he seems to be enjoying it.

The gal to his left, first row bleachers, is definitely getting this on her IG.

There is one girl shrieking with her hands over her ears.

A guy next to her who may be expressing actual concern.

The guy next to him he seems to be taking it all in rather calmly, like, "this looks like a night at the Frat house. Sweet."

Lots of other people catching this for IG, Snapchat, whatever...…..

The lady on the ground appears to see a shark off in the distance.

Maybe an old guy with white hair doing some sort of inappropriate salute? Also, the fellow in the yellow hat also seems to be throwing up a salute.

Finally, the guy that seems to have found a dropped a quarter. "Oooooooh, something shiny."

The oral history of this picture is going to be epic.

DC rec'd a T in the 1990 NCAAT against Minnesota. He got in a skirmish with Jim Shikenjanski (sp?) and got T'd up. It didn't help the cause.

I stand corrected! Thank you!
