KingJoseph Edwards "not" in the portal

The fact he hasn't been picked up yet/signed anywhere... is interesting
Reddit had some interesting comments on him. I remember how exciting his signing was, so this is disappointing, but he might have some family/inner circle baggage because he never got a real look from FSU despite apparently openly asking for one.

I'd say there's an information vacuum that needs to be filled in this situation.

We’ve lost the three best kids from Fran’s first class: Watson, JKE, and Barnes.

Kerr is bigger than Barnes and hits/tackles much better. Barnes trying to tackle was abysmal
I believe his bio from this past season is reasonably very good:

Davien Kerr/ 6'0" 184 Bloomfield CT - Dwight Freeneys hometown
Freshman Year (2024): Appeared in eight games, starting the last four of the season at corner ... Had 14 tackles, one interception and returned one punt for 46 yards on the season ... Made his collegiate debut against Holy Cross (9/28), returning a punt for 46 yards ... Had his first collegiate tackle at Pittsburgh (10/24) ... Made two solo tackles at Boston College (11/9) ... Had an interception and a pair of solo tackles in his first collegiate start at Cal (11/16) ... Made a career-high six tackles (five solo) in the win over UConn (11/23) ... Made a solo tackle against Miami (11/30) ... Had a pair of tackles in the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl win over Washington State (12/27).

Not sure what site you are looking at but Tremble was our best recruit. Barnes and Watson were 88. We had six 88s in the class. KJE was a .90. Watson exceeded expectations. The two others time will tell. However they were not our best three.
There was a lot of good players in that class and Fran only a little over a month to get it together. In comparison Dino’s last class 2023 his best player was an .87 and there was only one.
Fran’s over all classes have so much more depth than past classes. We will loose some people but I believe Fran we he says he will replace them with someone as good or better.

I was over it 11 seconds after I read the thread title. Im thinking that means we will win 11 games this year.
Good luck KJE.

We don't know who our best recruits were in that class. Time will tell and I bet they will be playing for Syracuse.

I wasn’t only going by rankings. Based on performance he was by far the best.
I agree Waton had a great season but if you are basing it on results of last year I’m not sure you can put KJE or Barnes as top 3. Willis was more impactful. Kerr was better than Barnes because Barnes was injured most of the season. A lot of the other recruits were not big contributors last season.

I believe it was scumbag Bruce Pearl who said last year that Auburn targets guys from smaller schools looking to level up. Something about they are hungrier and will work harder than the guy flaming out at the first big school stop and transferring to another big school. I believe the quote was we don't want to take on other programs' problems. This could be the situation with this guy.

As of last week, word was that SU had not added him to the special portal window. This window is up to the school, not the player.
Good. I hope Fran has locked the door on this guy.

They should just make their jerseys read E Kerr and I Kerr. Just omit the rest of the first name letters. Or maybe First Kerr and Second Kerr. Anything else will be way too confusing.
Kerr 1 and Kerr 2

By the letter of the law it seems like a difficult path for thim to even be eligible for this special window. It is intended solely for athletes that would lose their roster spots due to the House provision that limits the rosters to 105. Spirit of the ruling was to give walkons who would be cut under the original House provisions a chance to transfer once the settlement was approved.

There is another pre-existing clause to transfer rules that allows a player who has lost his scholarship the ability to transfer immediately, but with P4 schools guaranteeing football scholarships for four years, it takes either academic issues or a pretty egregious violation for a scholarship to be rescinded.
