Personally, I wanted him to go as I thought that Red did not value him.

Yeah, I'm actually kinda happy for him to move on. I like Cuffe. I wish he gotten more run this year but the reality, he really just isn't good enough. I do think Red mismanaged him this year.

It's weird, I didn't want Cuffe to play much next year, but I did want him back. He's a program guy. Good attitude, good work ethic, seemingly a good leader.

Maybe he was told that's the plan and he preferred to get minutes somewhere else. That'd be understandable.

That was the danger of hiring an unproven coach to a P4 program that was in steep decline, and in danger of backsliding even further.

My fear is that season ticket sales will be so bad, that we'll be playing in front of 9K crowds. But that's what happens when you make poor decisions. You pay the price.

Are you speaking from personal knowledge of recent happenings or are you just frustrated like the rest of us? It's week 2 of the offseason and I'm already overthinking posts on this board...I fear it's going to be a long one.

If NIL is a factor, Siena doesn't have much compared to P4.

For starters, when a guy hits the portal, they are usually dead to me. I have actively rooted against a couple at their next stop.

But Kyle is getting his SU diploma, he'll always be Orange and a fellow alum, and I wish him the best wherever he ends up.

That said, this is a no-brainer. I thought Red MIGHT keep him around, given the extra scholarships we will be allowed. Still, if you assume that Red has also gotten "the talk" from JW, then a pruning of branches from the roster tree is reasonable. Especially expendable branches.

Kyle ranks 11th overall on the team in shooting percentage and 9th overall in 3 pt percentage. And this was on a bad team. Whatever terrible adjective you can think of to apply to that is probably not strong enough. He also has a poor assist to turnover ratio. He is decent defensively, but a guard has to have at least ONE offensive skill. When you get right down to it, there have been many past SU teams on which Kyle would have never gotten off the bench.

I hope he does well wherever he lands. Forever Orange, Kyle.

I’m not gonna indict Autry after losing our 8th man nor the next announcement that I assume is coming any minute now.

Thank you for posting. 33% was by far the worst on the team of already a crap team. This isn't a loss except he seems like a a good guy in the locker room.

Makes sense he's the first one. The back court needs to be straightened out first before anything else. In order to attract guards we need to be clear that there is playing time out there. Cuffe played in 30 games and ended up all the way up to 12 mins a game.

Guys in the portal need to know those minutes are available. Even 12 mins is something that a guy on the fence for playing time may say well maybe not if the room is too crowded.

Makes me think we'll hear from JJ soon either way.

I think for sure JJ and Petar will stay the rest will be gone with 1 as a wild card leaning toward leaving but stranger things have happened..
