It seems to me that the recruiting is harder to follow this year as we are making offers all over the place (which is a good thing). It is probably just me but this staff seems more energetic and visible than he who shall not be named's guys.

Anybody got an idea of the recruits that are seriously leaning our way?

I feel good about KJ as there is that "Cousin" connection and also feel good about Lamar Dawson coming to the CUSE! I think there is another dark horse we normally would have zero shot at, and that is Hendrix, DE out of the Chicago area. Other than that we have a great shot at kids with the name "Corey"! :D

Yeah, 247 doesn't give us a shot. In the "cool" range.
What I liked was when Smith met him, Syracuse wasn't even on his radar. 2 hours later, SU was on his top 5. Smith stated it simply, you have a chance to play immediatly here, and not like we haven't put out a couple of pretty good DE's over the years...I agree, long shot, but I don't count this group out of anything. We do need a big ticket check in and who knows where we go once that happens.

You know who I am inrigued by is the (DT) out of Kansas...Peyton Newell. I remember reading something that he was really receptive about his Syracuse Offer.

I have seent his kid's scouting video and he is a football player. Would love to get him but then again I thnk he's got a ridiculous list of over 30 schollies. So that is trully a looooonnng shot.

What doy uo guys think???...Any chance here?

Based on this page and 14/14 prediction to nebraska, I'd say no shot

Other then Shute and Klock who committed else where I think we are very much alive for every prospect that has visited.

Erv Phillips visiting this weekend and could commit
Chad Mavety is visiting next week.
Jason Cabinda is visiting the 21 st and deciding July 1. He and Franklin talk a lot and twitter and seems real interested
Nile Sykes visiting in July
Ollison is visiting again for camp next week I believe
And of course KJ has Syracuse and Michigan as favorites.

going 50% on those 6 and were in business.

I think 50% is an accurate prediction. Pretty sure Phillips is a lock for us. And even if we got just Mavety and the other 5 go elsewhere, I'd still be ecstatic.

I believe we sign Cabinda if the staff really wants him. Also, i think we have a very strong chance for Jamal Custis (Philly) and think he's a superior athlete that will be a very good DI player. Really would like a commit from him and think we're on the inside track.

Who is the next Ishaq/EO? That's what I'd like to know. (and obviously win this time)

Thomas Holley. He's flirting with all the national attention now but rumor has it his mom wants him to stay close to home. Probably ends up a PSU/SU/RU decision when all is said and done according to what I've read.
