People - try to stay objective.
- Marrone lifted us out of the ashes here at Syracuse. We're only upset that he told us we were his dream job and then left before he completed the turnaround.
- Marrone makes some conservative calls on punts, but that's his style and it's defensible.
- He did walk out on the Bills, making a financial killing but not showing the character in himself that he demanded of others.
- He is an astute judge of talent and he knows how to turn rosters around. I believe EJ Manuel was forced on him, so that's not a strike against him.
- He, like everyone else, needs a top-tier QB to win big. I think he just hasn't had the opportunity to work with a contender yet.
So, if he goes to Cleveland, who can they bring in to replace Johnny Football, for whom Marrone will have no patience?
