Looks like we could Doug Marrone as the next Tennessee Titans HC

Marrone never got fair go of it in Buffalo as the active and bitter posters from Syracuse poisoned the well of public perception from the start.

sure glad Mara put everything on hold and made sure the rams got back to LA.

ridiculous. Hue may of been our best hope.
Mara was part of the LA committee that wanted SD/Oak to go to LA. He was one of the 5 owners on the LA that was against the Rams. Kraft was the only one of the 6 owners on the LA committee that voted for the Rams.

Your boy Mara changed his vote after the 20-12 vote was taken in favor of the Rams.

I can't wait for Mike'd Up when Marrone is hired.

interesting. i hadnt read that.

marrone can sit with me if he ever wants to watch a Giants game from inside Giants Stadium.

Couldn't have asked for a better result than Marrone to NYG. Mainly for the meltdown of many on this board. Hope he starts Nassib game 1 too.
I'm giddy.

Pittsburgh's Art Rooney II, New England's Robert Kraft, Carolina's Jerry Richardson, Kansas City's Clark Hunt, Houston's Bob McNair, and the NYG's John Mara were the 6 owners on the LA committee.

Richardson was the big dog in favor of SD/Oak. These 6 voted 5-1 for SD/Oak.

Jerry Jones got Kraft to be 1 against the SD/Oak Carson project.

Jones was the big dog backing Kroneke. The only chance Carson was Disney Chairman Bob Iger selling the owners enough to pick them over Rams/Inglewood.

The owners saw both presentations. They said the Rams/Inglewood presentation was like Star Wars and the Carson/SD/Oak presentation was like a 70's VCR.

Thus the owners voted 20-12 in favor of the Rams. Spanos the Chargers owner had 10 votes in his back pocket. He could block the Rams but because the NFL gave him the option to join he relented and they got 30 votes when they needed 24.

Cincy owner because he is cheap and doesn't want to spend more money on the future salary cap voted no and Raiders owner voted no.

That is 30-2 final outcome. The Raiders really the only loser yesterday.

Not that I believe Schefter's report, but if this were to incredibly happen then I'm sure Marrone and OBJ will get along juuuuuuust fiiiiiiiiine.

The extra millions going to the players and the extra hundreds of millions soon to line the pockets of the billionaire owners are coming from somewhere, so I would guess the ticket holders and taxpayers may not have done so well.

Doug now has an interview with the Titans lined up

With Cleveland off the market and with SF having a history of always hiring rookie head coaches and not going with experienced guys, the jobs are filling up quick for Doug. Might be back to Jax. I get why Doug left Buffalo last year and don't really fault him for it, but I have a feeling it might be tough for an NFL owner who doesn't know him at all to trust him at this point and hand him the keys to the castle.
