It's absurd because Marrone is the most traditional, old-school coach out there. Nothing he did with the Bills would indicate that he is some inventive trailblazer schooled in the art of logical analysis, only to be denied his genius by the "old guard" at Buffalo. I'm sure that's exactly what happened. Poor guy.

Analytics screams to not punt on 4th and 2 from the opponent 35. That part must not be in his analytics binder.

I wasn't going to read a Bud article, but that's new info to me. He left the team the day before their season opener?! I never knew the specifics around the comments made about how he needed time to grow up at SU. Apparently that extended deep into his senior year. Not that it matters, but wow.
