Louisville is on the clock...

I dont know the statutory rape age law in Kentucky but if any players were under it laws were broken ..
I believe I read somewhere that some recruits, AND some of the hookers were underage.
Let's see what happens, if anything, re; legal implications.

True but the fact that they were paid already means laws were broken.

They have no subpoena power unfortunately. It's basically what Pitino, Jurich (who has major power), the broad, and some former recruits/players have said. They basically believe Pitino if he only got 5 games.

Sirius guys think it is pretty harsh, fwiw.

Weird. Is it even possible to be penalized too harshly for this. Take a minute to really think about what was going on. Paying for underage sex workers, through a madame, used to throw sex parties for underage prospective scholarship players, current scholarship players and some of the staff. This happened over 3 or 4 recruiting cycles as well.

That really would be a legal issue anyways and its penalties would be to the parties actually engaging in the criminal activities. It would be separate from NCAA penalties. Still someone from the Lville staff lined these things up and arranged payment Oh Lord

Yup. Actually mostly Spatola (who IS sharp) thinks it is harsh as well as Katz on Twitter actually. Horowitz (SU guy) and Childers earlier before noon felt it was light.

The NCAA situationally chooses which rules to enforce and which institutions to go after.

Their penalties are arbitrary and capricious, and not tied to any precedence or order of magnitude scale in terms of which punishments are meted out.

Their entire enforcement division is a joke. What a sham.

That is exactly the point Childers/Spatola were making earlier.

People are lucky they didn't face jail time.

I want the 2013 Big East tournament trophy.

How do you appeal that? Either you had kids on the team that received illegal benefits (flesh in this case) making them ineligible or you did not. Its rather cut and dry.

As mentioned above - clearly our investigation and penalty was a shot at JB. Somewhere in the last 40 odd years JB p---ed in somebody's Wheaties and that person elevated in the NCAA and made bringing down JB his white whale. Even for the NCAA this is dizzying and will be more so when UNC skates.

Future plan for cheaters is clear - deny, fight back hard, and pray you are at a public school that has cache, cash, and little concern for the image of their regular students and the degrees they receive.

This is mind boggling. Cuse got slammed with their penalties. IMO the ville got a slap on the wrist. Nancy Cantor and he big mouth by reporting a violation. We did not cheat enough like these other programs do. UNC will receive nothing.
