Maybe the rest of the team also knows that Carney isn't ready. Both Ricky and Carney are young as far as P4 playing experience goes. Ricky is bad...but if the Coaches feel Ricky is better than Carney at this point, who are we as fans to question that? The problem is fans always think somebody else is better...the reality is...all of our QB's are less than P4 performers at this point.

Fans have a right to question and gripe, that’s part of being a fan. Coaches aren’t infallible and neither are us fans. Only time and maybe hindsight will tell the right course.

Rickie is currently 5th in the entire FBS for total interceptions, is two away from 1st, and everyone "ahead" of him has more GP, more attempts, more completions, and a higher QBR.

If that's not questionable then neither is me saying "we couldn't afford not to buy it" when I've just come home unprompted with a brand new sports car.

It sounds like he is leaving himself an out with the, "he might be the better QB eventually". If its Belin, and he's saying he might be the better QB eventually, why exactly is Luke ahead of him now? Does anyone know if Belin is injured?

I actually kinda think it's Filardi. When they're tossing it on the sidelines to warm up a lot of times it's Filardi and Carney. Can't say exactly why but it always seemed a little odd to me.

Yeah. And it's sort of demotivational as well. Almost like saying Luke needs development and is skill capped at the same time. I don't like it.

Imo, it is Joe Filardi. Fran said earlier in the summer that Filardi throws the best ball on the team. He also mentioned Joe during his Monday press conference this week. Get him ready to play.

I agree, Ricky's play has been terrible...but if according to the coach, he is our best option, then our QB room must be really bad!!

Look it's time for Fran to admit that Nothing can be done to make Rickie an effective QB, no matter what plays you run. Just start playing the youngsters and see if they at least can move the chains and score points.
Rickie has been a disaster every time he steps on the field. We go into every game down 2 or 3 td's because he is so bad.
