Regarding the “mid-season firings looking bad to coaching prospects” comments. Red had >2.5 seasons and has pretty clearly failed expectations. If a mid-season firing intimidates anyone out of this job, they simply do not have the confidence we need anyway.

Kills me to say this, but the only reason I can think of not to fire mid season is decorum. Hard to value that as a fan.

Sometime in February is my hope.

We really don't need recruiting ties as much as we need fund raising abilities.

True but if the latter are lacking, the prior is essential.
