You are so right. I remember thinking how bad the outcry was going to be if we lost holding the ball so long. I think a few years before Louis Orr hit one at the buzzer to beat Saint John's as well at Alumni Hall.

I remember Greg hitting a jumper as a freshman to beat St.John's at Alumni Hall. It was in overtime and Pearl held the ball for I think the last last two or three minutes. He was a very good player.

And Pearl hitting a half court buzzer beater to beat BC. Another that JB held to get the last shot….LOL. Oh those were the days!!!

If Judah is really good and actually ready, and we don’t go with a 3 guard lineup…..I’d cap Joe around 28….IMO.

In all honesty, I could see Quadir brining it up against preasure in a late game too.

That makes 4(?) players that could break man to man pressure.

Don't know about his FT, but handles are not an issue.

Not gonna pile on too much as guessing bees misread it but yeah- this. I don't think anyone is claiming after a 20 min scrimmage we know Copeland should get major minutes. Simply just that if he is good enough and outplaying other guys he should be out there on the floor this year.

The squad was decimated--fouled out. JB knew the longer the game went, the less chance to win. So he held the ball and played for the last shot and a W.

I remember (vaguely) that Looie had an interesting quote comparing Boeheim to a submarine captain, waiting until the last second to fire his torpedo.

Not really. Looked athletic and aware but didn't get many touches. I didn't notice him being challenged on defense.

Thanks. The offensive, defensive, and rebounding production out of the 4 is one of the biggest question marks/preseason stories for this year's team.

I'll add that he made a couple of shots and rebounded a few. He is at least 2 inches taller than the other new forwards. He didn't really stand out but was playing hard.

It's really hard to get a feel of everything with Benny sitting out of the scrimmage. I think it will good for guys fighting hard for minutes and making the most of what they are given.

I see Carey as a more athletic version of Marek. I really think it benefits the team so much to have a big guy that can dribble the ball, especially vs the press. Coleman was solid like that as well.
