My experience last night

Bees, your comment is an attack, plain and simple... let's not act like you haven't done anything hypocritical around here...

His attacks are often quite silly. It's kind of like a child throwing a fit. Humorous at times, but silly.

I said the same in other threads. Other people also won't root for a Gtown or a Pitt or a Duke or an NCST. Root for or against teams.

I've always rooted for our conference and out OOC foes to win every game but ours. Except for Georgetown. The are the exception.

When your 14 year old who really doesnt know anything about the ncaa and loves hoop asks if you can go you go. Spending time with him at the games last night were great regardless of what the ncaa did to us. No offense but thats a silly reason
Did your kid take a dump at the Dome too? Ha ha.

My feelings aren't hurt. I enjoyed the games at Tully's. Just find it interesting the feelings have about the NCAA investigation and the fact we couldn't participate and the first chance they get people rush out and support them.

You support the NCAA when you watch the games on TV, too. They make $$$ coming and going.

Lol... We wouldn't have made it anyway. This was a good year to be ineligible.

Not the point. And you don't know 100% for sure we wouldn't have made it.

Boycott all of the sponsors!!! Who wants to drink Coke or Anheuser Busch products or drive a GM car anyways. Forget those American companies. Buy foreign made because we got screwed.

Embellish much?

I'm sure Tully's would have turned off their tv's if I left. Besides, ads are already sold on my tv. Not the same thing.

Yea, such a silly attack on the NCAA in my first post. Read it. I won't support the event. The horror. Then others wanted to show me the errors of my ways.

WE DONT HAVE A RIVALRY WITH ANY OF THESE ACC TEAMS.

There are plenty of people here who hate NCSt or Duke or Pitt or ND. So why are you screaming?

I guess it depends on how far you want to protest the NCAA's decision.;) Seriously though it would have been a nice touch if the students organized something to acknowledge the poor job that the NCAA did with the Syracuse investigation.

In another thread about this, someone proposed tshirts. Mannys should have done a cheap $5 tshirt with something about JB and 966 wins. That would have been an even better statement. Would have loved to seen 25k SU fans there with those in national TV.

Pretty close to the same thing. His tickets were already paid for before yesterday too.

I agree that there is not much you can do about an animal this big, but watching it is supporting it.

If you truly are not supporting then you don't watch and increase the ratings or continue to talk about it and increase their exposure. Best you can do is pretend that it is not there.

This is an interesting thread. Bees, your frustration with the whole NCAA process comes thru quite clear. I understand that, and you and everyone else has every right to do what you want to do to take a stand or make a statement by not attending, etc. But, if anyone wants to go to the games, that's obviously their prerogative too, and I have no problem with it. I'd like to see some Sweet 16 or Elite 8 games myself if I could to watch some good basketball, and I couldn't care less about the NCAA itself.

Bc you don't stop with your comparison of rooting for GTown and UCONN. NC State, Pitt, Duke etc, none of those teams are GTown or UCONN. No one thinks we have a rivalry with any of them except ESPN when trying to hype our games w Duke.

Wasn't Pitt and nd in the be? Why do so many hate Pitt? Do you miss the threads of people railing on Pitt or NCSt? And why does there have to be a rivalry to hate a team?

You can hate them but we don't have a rivalry with them. So when I say I didn't root for GTown and UConn in the Big East it has zero bearing on my rooting for ACC teams because GTown/UConn were rivalry teams, no one in the ACC is. If you want to root against teams in our conference because you don't like them, that's fine, but don't compare them to GTown and UConn.

Never compared them to Gtown as a rival. Only in the context that someone should root for an ACC team simply because they are an ACC team. I hated Duke before we were ACC and I'll still root against them as an ACC member. Now if they play UK in the finals, I'll have to hold my nose and root for them.

You didn't reply to Marsh's thread...admit it, you were looking for an argument and picked the guy with 300 posts and avoided posting in the thread started by the guy with 14,000.
