NBA playoffs: greatest show on Earth

First half was fun. That being said, typical Warriors in the 3rd. Not really into these playoffs. Officially sick of Golden State.

Doesn’t help that the Eastern Conference Champ is either trash or decimated by injury.
so you are officially sick of the best team ever? good take dude

East is getting better both Philly and Boston have championship potential.
The West has good teams but nobody in the West has taken Golden State to 6 games outside of Durant and Westbrook OKC in 2016 and that was the year Curry was hurt and they lost to Cleveland.

Boston will have a team that can matchup with them next year.
3 quality guards Irving, Rozier, Smart
Lots of wing depth Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Morris
Decent bigs Horford, Baynes.

Oh, I agree Philly/Boston will be fantastic for years to come and maybe Lebron goes to Houston to level out the West, but this year sucks. Golden State is just biding time until they raise another banner.

So I haven't been watching - is Foster in the tank for the Warriors or the Rockets?

Warriors have 2 of the top 5 players in the league. Durant and Curry.
Then another top 20 player in Thompson.
Draymond is their Dennis Rodman.
When Iggy is on they are impossible to defend.
Curry did nothing tonight and the Warriors are winning this pretty comfortably.

If Boston had Hayward and Kyrie they’d have a shot against Golden State.

Not sure selling out to stop Steph from shooting is going to work for the Rockets. He can facilitate too.

Foster was brutal the whole game.
He killed the Rockets.
I thought the Rockets got away with a lot. Harden shouldered Green in the face before the "T". Ariza grabbed Green around the shoulder and pulled him down on him on the foul on the 3 in the first qtr.
Houston gets away with just pushing guys out of their way on the way to the basket.
Harden wraps his arms around Steph, no call. Steph does, and it's a foul.
KD is fouled in his shooting motion on a 3, and they say it was before the shot, so only 2 FTs.

Draymond is more than Rodman, of whom I was a fan.

I love the NBA but I do wish that Golden State would break up. I don't think wishing for more parity is a bad take; seeing the same team win every year is boring to me. I can respect the greatness and they play an entertaining brand of basketball but it does make me sad that it feels so inevitable every season that the only thing that can possibly stop them is injuries.

I honestly don't think Philly will ever win a title unless Simmons admits that it's time to completely rebuild his jumpshot. Boston, maybe after Golden State declines/breaks up. I don't think any team in the NBA is touching Golden State in their prime while healthy.

Don’t think so. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are going to be absolute monsters.

This one still blows my mind. I'm pretty sure they called it a shooting foul originally too. He was literally fouled while he was jumping to shoot the ball.

I honestly think Boston should consider themselves lucky if either one of them reaches the caliber of Klay, much less Steph/Durant. They're good prospects, but I just don't see Boston ever touching Golden State unless the Warriors start to decline a lot.

Draymond is more than Rodman, of whom I was a fan.
Draymond is the Rodman who played for Detroit and was a 2 time DPOY.
Both are agitators who are defensive first players and glue guys.
Draymond is perfect for the Warriors because he allows them to play him at the 5 and they can still play elite defense. If this was the 90s Draymond couldn’t defend Mutombo, Ewing, Mourning, Shaq, Hakeem, Simts.
NBA game has changed to where 5’s aren’t what they used to be.

Tatum is Paul Pierce 2.0.
Pierce was on level with Klay.
Klay is great but Steph being the focus for top guard defenders helps him a lot.
Klay is streaky offensively. He is good because of his 2-way status and the fact he has never had to be the first or even second option with Durant. When Curry was hurt in 2016 the warriors struggled with OKC and Cleveland.

Tatum reminds me of pierce and melo with more athletic upside. He’s only, what, 20? He has potential to be a top 5 player in the league.

We'll have to wait and see. Can't rule out Tatum becoming a top 10 level player, but obviously that's asking a ton of him and even if he does reach that point, Boston still isn't anywhere near Golden State IMO. Like I said, I think you should be happy if he reaches Klay-level; anything more is just an unexpected bonus IMO.

I really wish Boston was at full strength this year. I think they could push Golden State to a 6 or 7 game series with Hayward and Kyrie.

I continue to believe these two Warriors related takes

1) Steph>Durant. (Great time for this one, Durant was a killer last night)
2) Dray> Klay

If you're Houston, i think you almost have to hope Durant continues to take the shots he did last night.
