Yeah like if KD is just going to be the same KD as before, that is, uh, gonna be a problem for the rest of the East.

They also have a deep roster behind KD and Kyrie. I do think in a few weeks Kyrie is basically a cinch to do something weird and put them into some turmoil, but long run, if Durant is even 90-95% of the old guy, I think they're the East fave.

Yeah, I really am curious to see what they can do with that roster this season. Kyrie drives me nuts and I don't trust him, but the dude can ball, and they've got talent all over the court.

They might have the best roster in the NBA. I don't know if a third star actually makes them better.

In my lifetime, basically from watching Bird/Magic onwards, KD is the best pure scorer I've ever seen.

I also agree that Kyrie will do weird stuff, but the difference in this situation versus CLE or BOS is that 1) unlike BOS, he's not supposed to be the best player on the team and 2) unlike CLE, the actual best player on the team doesn't give a hoot how weird he is and isn't a walking institution (like Bron).

They are super deep and if Kyrie and KD are ever cooking at the same time, the game can be over in an instant a la the Dubs used to be.

Also, and I don't want to take too much from two games, but Clips are looking good.

Maybe letting Trez and Doc go and pulling in Ibaka and Kennard and Batum (who I thought was cooked) was smart.

Don’t underrate the Bucks cutting him to clear a roster spot so that Pau Gasol could be a mentor/assistant coach.

I can only assume this was the case with Detroit like it was with every other team that passed on him...he has a reputation for being very immature and nobody wanted to deal with him.
