A lot of people like to say that the NBA lacks parity, but look at the Top 4 teams in each conference right now...

Nets: never been to a Finals (edit no Finals since early 2000s)
Sixers: one Finals in the past almost 40 years
Bucks: no Finals since 70s
Hornets: never been to a Finals

Jazz: no Finals since 1998
Suns: no Finals since 1993
Clippers: never been to a Finals
Nuggets: never been to a Finals

Very healthy competitive balance in the league right now.
