NBA Thread 2022-23 Season

I’d like to see Spo fire up a victory blunt, as a tribute to Red Auerbach.

Little known fact about Scott Foster, apparently no team has ever won a game officiated by Scott Foster. I'm joking, but people love throwing out these tweets with records when official X is involved and then as soon as the game is over it's all forgotten.

Am I bitter because Foster reffed game 6 Miami-Knicks and that meant it was a lock the Knicks won and they didnt? Maybe

Yup I'm quoting my own post because pretty sure no one will bring up the Celtics being 12-0 in Foster games now

Gotta give you credit - you knew they didn’t have it.
Just a soft, front running team. As we’ve all seen, they can’t or don’t execute in crunch time. Far too many mental lapses. This group of players handles in game adversity very poorly. In that sense, Tatum and Brogdon typify what this team is all about.

I mean, they just had an amazing win on an incredible last second play in the previous game.

How can you call a team that was down 3-0 and won 3 in a row, 2 on the road … soft ? This entire playoffs has been grand proclamation after grand proclamation as to what Boston is and everyone was pretty much wrong every time. They are a complete rando” meter team and so are its best players. They could win it all next year with 4 , 4 game sweeps and I wouldn’t be surprised one bit. And I have no love for that team

I feel like Spo’s legacy needs to be reevaluated. I feel like people viewed him as Lebrons babysitter in the early 2010s. But he’s a legitimately great coach.

Spo is probably my pick for best coach in the league. He is definitely an all timer. He was on the list of top 15 coaches in league history put out last year. (Then again, so was Doc...)

As a 2 seed, they went down 0-3 to an 8 seed, and came back to win the next 3. Struggled against Atlanta, and barely scraped by the Sixers (another soft squad). I said that the team wasn’t going to win before the playoffs started, and I think anyone who watched them regularly knew that, whether or not they wanted to admit it.

Jaylen Brown is a very good player but it is astonishing how bad his handle is
A lot of Bucks fans are desperate to get rid of Middleton because of his loose handle and also desperate to try to get Jaylen Brown. Aside from his age, Jaylen feels like exactly what we should not want right now.

If Boston is actually open to trading him, I imagine he’s at the top of the list for Portland and Houston (assuming they get Harden).

I also personally think something built around a Jaylen-Garland swap would be good for both Boston and Cleveland.
