Applications have been shown to drastically increase with improved revenue sports performance (football and mens basketball)

Every time I have posted about the facilities arms race going on all around us I have been lambasted. Good to see that people are coming around. Fear of losing Dino is changing people's minds about the need to invest heavily in facilities.

Just need the $. KU and KU are both state schools last time I checked and these building get built with big donors as well. It's a combo much like Purdue's was. We have neither really, just don't see why people continue to ignore both of these facts. Kentucky just built a beautiful baseball stadium as well.

Since you liked my post so much here is another treat for you.
SU cost about 70k per undergraduate student per year. Assuming each student is only out of pocket 50% SU would need to have an increase of around 90 new Frosh to pay for the staffs increase. Of course if you add in the money those kids and their parents will spend on SU products and services over the four years its probably closer to 50 or 60 new Frosh.

Are you proposing SU fund football coaching salaries with tuition? No interest in academic or general improvements just fund football?

Did Dino get a bump at the end of last year? Would this be based on last year's tax info? If so, he's making more. I thought I read somewhere he was making 2.9?

Because you have inspired me i have one more gem for you.
ESPN charges about 40k for a 30 second spot. The networks 100k and up. Worse case scenario SU would only have to recieve the equivalent of 75 30 second spots on ESPN over the course of an entire year to pay for the staffs increase. I wonder what the value of his post victory speeches going viral is worth. My point is simple. Regardless of if it comes from increased attendance, enrollment, or publicity value a 3m increased investment in Dino and his staff will be covered in spades. Im sure that JW gets this and i fully expect that the wheels are in motion to do everything possible to retain him.
