Shrader shouldn’t have played a down. Without his legs he was useless. And spotted them 7 points on one of the worst passes I’ve ever seen.

D got pushed around. ND came to play physically. Some really dumb play calls kept that from even being worse.

Left to the chants of Let’s Go Irish. They were loud. It sucked.

I thought three plays killed us. There was the opening pick-6, the 4th down attempt, and the short punt.

Not saying we would have won without those plays, but they were all self-inflicted and ND was too good to give points away.

We've got a full plate ahead of us. Let's win 'em all and go bowling.

Today just wasn’t our day. I still think we’re a very good football team, we all know teams will try to smash mouth us to death, ND was able to execute that game plan to perfection because they have flat out grown men up front. They were a horrible matchup. On to the next.

Agreed. I would also add the tipped pass interception. We had momentum and that killed it.

Yup. Top ten talent and a terrible matchup. And we started off awful. It happens. Move on.

We have two playmakers on offense and a defensive front that is just not strong enough to hold up through a long season.Just can’t see us beating anyone else this season besides BC.
Maybe we could pull off the Florida State game but I would consider that an upset if it happened.

They just pushed us around with their running game.

We dodged a couple bullets after Shrader's game opening Pick 6 and kept it close until the end of the 1st half. Pretty bad offensive play calling. Shrader didn't run it once until nearly halftime.

We did not use the passing game very effectively until the back-up came in. Too much in the flats, not enough over the middle.

The back-up has talent, but that tipped pick, just when they had given us some hope again, that was the back breaker.

I’m still way more annoyed about last week to be honest.

I think everybody was, including the team. That was a lifeless effort, you even felt it in the stands. That felt like an oddly dull atmosphere for such an important game, and a near sell-out, and a historical name brand opponent.

This was one of those games where the score and stats don’t even begin to tell the story. At least it wasn’t a conference game. Hope the coaches learn from their mistakes. I’m just as confident in our ceiling as I was before kickoff.
I’m not , Fenway, Yankee Stadium here we come.

Don’t forget the trick play on 2nd and 1.

Let other teams try and smash mouth us. It won’t work.
